Sweet Nostalgia is about creating cake memories, of bringing my joy and passion to you and seeing your face light up. My first ever cake memory was at the age of 4, making cupcakeswith my beloved Nanna who is my cake inspiration. I'm Amanda a stay at home mum who is obsessed with all things baking & decorating and will strive to give you the best cake and special memories that I can, because that'

I'm a perfectionist and extremely passionate and I believe my cake creations reflect that. Realised today that my kids have never had what I term, a “mum cake”!

You know the one, the ones our mums would make back in the 80’s/90’s, that was made for every birthday and then wrapped in cling wrap to go in the lunch box the next day, where you’d spend recess licking the melted icing off the cling wrap because ice bricks weren’t a thing back then.

Maybe I’m feeling nostalgic because I’m sick and yearning for that comfort of “back in the day”
So I made my kids one, complete with the no effort icing and sprinkles, although my flu addled brain did forget an ingredient…

Anyhoo, 2 thumbs up from my youngest so it’s a winner!

Mothers Day

As I sit in the fresh air whilst Influenza A bounces from person to person in my house (myself included 🫩) I thought I’d try to think of happier things rather than temperature taking, snot and how much nurofen is left in the house.

I wanted gather input from you all as to if this is something you’d be interested in, especially in this economic crisis, I’m very sensitive to what is a priority at the moment (fuel, groceries, nurofen…😭)

Shout out below in the comments if and what price point you’d be willing to pay for Mother’s Day treats this year.
