Centrepoint Playgroup
Centrepoint Playgroup began in 2015 when a couple of us mums with teeny tiny bubbas got together to hang out, connect, cry, laugh, and do life together as we transitioned to motherhood. Our identities and what our day-to day looked like changed dramatically when our little ones entered the world, and without each other to share our joys and struggles with, we would have experienced tremendous isolation. This group of mothers became rocks for each other, providing practical and emotional support. As our babies have grown into toddlers (and we have provided them with little brothers and sisters), the dynamics of playgroup have changed. Earlier this year we decided that the nature of playgroup also needed to change to reflect this. The new playgroup format that has been devised will generally follow this monthly format:
1st Wed: Centrepoint Church 2nd Wed: Indoor Play Centre/Child Friendly Cafe/Park/Library 3rd Wed: Centrepoint Church 4th Wed: John Wesley Gardens Aged Care Community 5th Wed (if applicable): Indoor Play Centre/Child Friendly Cafe/Park/Library
Playgroup is held from 9.30-11.30am and all are welcome... Mums/dads/grandparents/caregivers and their little ones come together and share laughs and tears, activities and yummy snacks. It is generally set up and friendly for babies, toddlers, preschool age, and even school age kids in the holidays!
