Like most of the hospitality industry during this crazy time I find myself at home and a little bored, so I have turned my home kitchen into an experimental bakery.

It's a nice and easy recipe.

175gm Mother
90gm Self Raising Flour
2gm Bi Carbonate oh Soda
20gm sugar
1 Egg
225 ml Buttermilk
5ml Vanilla extract

Mix dry ingredients together.
Mix wet ingredient together.
Whisk wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until smooth.
Cook on a low heat.
Enjoy 🥞🥞

After 6 days of faithfully feeding my rye based mother I am creating my first product from the discard mother. Super light sourdough crumpets( thanks ) and some moreish pretzels finished with a sprinkle of Maldon sea salt flakes.
