Okay… we’ve officially hit the limit! 😳❤️

Our Father’s Day order board is absolutely INSANE, so we’ve had to temporarily close online orders to make sure we can give every order the love and care it deserves.

If you still need something for Dad, please give the shop a call, we’ll have a look and see if we can squeeze in anything else. 🤞🏻

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the incredible support. We’re already preparing ourselves for one VERY busy weekend… 😂

🎥 We can finally share this with you! ❤️

A few weeks ago, cameras arrived at Ganache… and now we can reveal why.

We were incredibly proud to be selected by Willoughby City Council as one of the businesses featured in this year’s Support Local campaign, sharing the story of Ganache, our journey since Johann and Vianney took over, and the incredible community that has been part of it.

Last night, the video was officially revealed at the Support Local Showcase Night at The Concourse, where Vianney also had the privilege of joining the local business owners’ panel on stage.

It was a chance to talk about the fun parts, the mistakes, the lessons, bringing a little bit of aviation thinking into Ganacge ✈️🥐, working with your best friend… and why accepting that none of us is perfect has actually helped us build a stronger team and business.

A huge thank you to Willoughby City Council. Supporting local businesses is about much more than saying “shop local”… it’s about creating opportunities for businesses to connect, be heard and share their stories. This campaign is a wonderful example of that, and we’re very grateful to be part of it.

And to our team and the Castlecrag community: this story belongs to you too.

🎥 We can finally share this with you!

A few weeks ago, we had to keep a little secret when cameras arrived at Ganache…

We were incredibly proud to have been selected by Willoughby City Council as one of the local businesses featured in this year’s Support Local campaign, sharing the story of Ganache, our journey since taking over the business, and the people and community behind its success.

Last night, the finished video was officially revealed at the Support Local Showcase Night at The Concourse in Chatswood, surrounded by local business owners, community partners and Council and state representatives.

Vianney also had the privilege of joining the business owners’ panel on stage to talk about our journey… from bringing lessons from aviation into a the patisserie, to building a culture where mistakes become opportunities to learn, working with your best friend, supporting other local businesses, and accepting that none of us needs to be perfect to build something meaningful.

It was a very special moment to look back at how far Ganache has come in such a short time.

But perhaps the biggest message from last night was just how important strong local communities and strong local businesses are to each other.

We want to sincerely thank Willoughby City Council and everyone involved in the Support Local program. There is a big difference between simply talking about supporting small business and actively creating opportunities for businesses to be seen, connected, celebrated and heard and this initiative does exactly that.

We are incredibly grateful for the relationship we are building with Council and for the work they continue to do across the Willoughby business community.

And of course, none of our story would exist without our amazing team and the Castlecrag community who gave Vianney and Johann a chance when they took over Ganache and have supported, challenged and encouraged us ever since.

We may own Ganache on paper… but as we said last night, Castlecrag definitely owns a little piece of it emotionally ❤️

Now we can finally show you what was happening behind those cameras.

A quick follow-up from yesterday ❤️

The road works came as a complete surprise, with unfortunately no prior communication to us. It wasn’t a great situation, particularly on our busiest day, and I raised those concerns directly with Willoughby Council.

I do want to acknowledge Tanya Taylor and Council staff who reached out very quickly afterwards to understand what had happened and work through it with me.

Great leadership isn’t about everything always going perfectly… it’s about how you respond when it doesn’t so I genuinely appreciated the way this was handled once the issue was raised.

Things happen. We learn from them, improve the communication and move forward together ❤️

A bit of an unexpected surprise outside Ganache this Friday morning…

We arrived this morning to discover that all the parking spaces directly in front of the shop had been blocked off, followed shortly before our 6.30am opening by two very large trucks arriving and parking directly outside Ganache as part of road works taking place today.

Unfortunately, we had received absolutely no prior communication or notification about these works, so this came as a complete surprise to us this morning.

We understand that road works need to happen, but with Friday being our busiest day of the week, losing the parking directly outside Ganache as well as much of our visibility from the street has a significant impact on our little business.

I have contacted Willoughby City Council this morning to make them aware of the situation and the impact it is having, and I am doing everything I can to see whether a solution can be found for today.

In the meantime, Ganache is absolutely OPEN as usual! ❤️

Our team is here, the coffee machine is on and we have plenty of beautiful pastries, bread and cakes waiting for you. Access and parking may just be a little more challenging than usual today unless a solution is being found urgently.

Thank you so much for your understanding and, as always, for supporting us especially on unexpected mornings like this one.

Tomorrow is Hina’s last day at Ganache 🤍🇯🇵

Tomorrow, we’ll be saying goodbye to one of the kindest people we’ve ever had the privilege of working with.

Hina is returning to Japan to finish her studies, and while we’re incredibly proud of her, our hearts are genuinely broken to see her go.

Over the past few months, she hasn’t just worked hard, she has looked after every customer with the most beautiful kindness, the biggest smile, and a warmth that can’t be taught. She has become part of our little Ganache family.

So tomorrow, if you’re stopping by, please give Hina a big hug, bring her a flower, write her a little note, or simply thank her for the joy she’s brought to our community.

She deserves to know just how loved she is.

Thank you, Hina. You’ll always have a home at Ganache. We love you and already miss you ❤️
