Inspired by the clean lines of classic 50s/60s Dior. Vegan vanilla cake, filled with raspberry. Top half covered in vegan mock cream bottom in dark chocolate ganache, topped with a gold toffee disc, hand moulded and painted. You can’t see the back but it has a draped black skirt, it wasn’t perfect but it was made with all the love in my heart for a woman that inspires me so much. Happy birthday Bel xo thank you for being there for so many people.

These lemon zest and vanilla baby bundt cakes with lilac lemon icing, an a sprig of thyme, with a touch of hand painted gold are a Bakehouse BNE speciality. Made for my beautiful sister in law, Nissrine for her baby shower. I cannot wait till my newest niece is here.

A friend thoughtfully chose a beautiful poem to inspire a cake for her mother’s 80th birthday, and I hope I did it justice. Dense organic whole orange and almond cake, home made blueberry and balsamic coulis filling, slathered in ganache and hand painted gold, topped with raspberries and bright red roses.

Baby shower cake - Vanilla mudcake, filled with home made caramel with pecan praline, covered in a Swiss meringue buttercream, a tiny hand made bird with gold dust details, on a nest of toffee and pecan praline. Gold dipped tiny meringues. All organic. If I were to make this cake again I would add some fresh figs, but this cake had to last a day and transport to the sunny coast. Todd asked me to make something “caramelly” and “in neutral colours” for his beautiful partner. Next time I would love to make you a a beautiful cream coloured cake with a little wreath of herbs, really natural and simple.

Inside this white chocolate mud cake is a rich caramel, and a toffee and pecan praline made fresh RIGHT NOW, with a vanilla bean swiss meringue buttercream ring to keep it in the cake. I designed this cake for a “garden party” themed birthday. Vanilla bean swiss buttercream on a lemon zest sponge, filled with home made lemon curd, topped with figs, lemons, black berries & lisianthus blossoms & greens.

My lovely and talented friend Jody asked me to create something for the beautiful Amber and I am so lucky to be supported by such incredible women. I actually cried last night at Jody’s care and generosity, as I did when Amber ordered Jody’s cake a while ago. 💕
