Jennifer’s journey with the business is deeply rooted in personal passion and respect for traditional Indonesian wellness rituals:
The Inspiration: Jennifer has been travelling to Indonesia for over 40 years.
Roughly 14 years ago, a close Javanese friend taught her the traditional art, recipes, and intentions behind making jamu.
The Business Launch:
After initially crafting the potent turmeric and ginger tonic solely for her friends and family, she officially registered the business in February 2016.
Commitment to Small Batches: For over a decade, Jennifer has intentionally resisted commercial mass production.
She still handcrafts every individual bottle in her home kitchen using Australian-grown, certified organic and biodynamic ingredients.

I have been travelling to Indo for over 40yrs
I have always believed food is medicine & around 12yrs ago my gorgeous Javanese friend started teaching me about jamu
I loved everything about it
Handmade - with intention - whole raw ingredients - 🙏🧡
He taught me a few recipes & I came back started making it for friends & family 🥰
Then it was a decision to keep making jamu but as a small business in our kitchen handmade with Australian certified organic & biodynamic products
Over 10years and we have stayed true 🥰 no big mass produced long life product - still handmade in our kitchen
Always thankful & respectful to the origins of Jamu & Jamu lady 🙏
