Today I want to take a moment to acknowledge the women of horticulture.
The mums who are packing lunchboxes before sunrise, checking crops between school drop-offs, answering emails while stirring dinner, and somehow holding families, farms, and businesses together all at once.
So much of what women do in agriculture goes unseen — the planning, the paperwork, the caring, the problem-solving, the emotional labour — all while raising the next generation.
To every woman juggling children and crops, farm books and bedtime stories: you are seen, you are valued, and this industry would not be what it is without you.
Thank you for everything you’ve done, everything you’ve sacrificed, and everything you’re still striving to build.
Let’s keep lifting each other up. 🌱
