Yesterday, I had erands to run to the big smoke! And I thought - well seeing as I have crossed the Spit AND the Harbour Bridges, I just may as well keep going!

And ended up at IndigiGrow!

Gavin! Thank you Sir. Always helpful & a great source of knowledge! I picked up some Green Spider Grevillia, a couple of Mint Bush, a Round Bush Lime & some powdered Strawberry Gum!

And every visit to IndigiGrow comes with free inspiration...as you walk in on the left is a wall of mature Old Man Saltbush (recently harvested) & on the right is a wall of Sunrise Limes & Finger Limes! And many,many options to choose from!

IndigiGrow will also be having a stall at the NIAF from 3rd July to 5th July at the Cutaway!

It may be a dreary old start to the day. But at least its Friday & at least there is Lamingtons!The Pepperberry Princess...

Said the Peanut Butter Ultimate Chocolate Cake to just about everybody!

The beloved Luscious Ultimate Chocolate Cake w/ a hint of fresh grated Nutmeg & chopped Peanuts baked in, a layer of Peanut Butter & then a layer of Chocolate Glaze & more chopped Peanuts to top.

Kunzea & Passionfruit Slice!

Utilising Gran Elliott's Lemon Slice recipe & soaking some Kunzea in Lemon Juice over night to make the Slice tomorrow! Fresh Passionfruit to round out the earthy flavour profile!

And it will be made on gluten free flours!

Yesterday afternoon I headed down to Man Town as I just had to have a look at the Ferris Wheel on Manly Beach!

And wowzers! It did not disappoint!

Mind you, it prompted a flood of memories, as kiddos when we would visit Nan we would often beg & plead to go the Manly Fun Pier! The Ghost Ride, the Ferris Wheel...closing in the late 80s.

And although tempted to take a spin, the queue was a bit long for my liking! But on $10.00 per person.

On until Sunday 28th. At the Manly Beach end as part of the Rise Festival!

Until just last week, Australia was the only contient in the world with no known cases of the Bird Flu.

Unfortunately, that changed when a migratory bird in WA was found & the first case reported. Now if you, like me are a Bird Nerd you'll understand how devestating this can potentially be.

If you see a sick or dying bird or birds, do not approach. Do not touch. Make a note of the location, photograph from as far as possible. Make a note of what type of bird or birds if known & telephone Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888.

We must all be vigilant!
