It all started 48 years ago when at the age of 14 when I discovered my passion to cook. And for years I was happy to just cook and eat, well they do go hand in hand. As time moved forward so did my attraction to any thing American… Cars, Chevy and in particular the Ute’s and the1959 Apache, Red off-course. Music, Rockabilly, Swing but manly Country and everything that goes with it. Clothing, boots

, hats, jeans and shirts all imported from the USA. And along with all of this came a love of American food, Diners and Southern BBQ long before most Aussies had ever heard of it. So after about 20 years or so of cooking American Southern BBQ for family and friends and saying
"One day I would love to have a Diner or a Food Van and cook real authentic American Southern BBQ…"

And then Debby came in to my life and in to my kitchen, an experienced Chef trained at many of Melbourne’s iconic restaurants. After years of cooking in other Chef’s kitchens she decided to take the plunge and cook in her own. She opened two cafés on the Mornington Peninsula specialising in fresh home made delights… Gourmet Burgers, Cakes and Slices. Deb’s response to my dream… just do it, so here it is… We have sourced a menu that cuts no corners… all our recipes are authentic recipes taken from some of the best Southern American BBQ Restaurants and Diners America has to offer. We make no apologies for copying their recipes just the way they cook them and serving them just the same way with house made sauces... After all who would serve their burgers and smoked meats in the States without fries on the side? Served on a bun topped with Southern Carolina sauce, slaw and fries on the side. Texas Beef Brisket
Dry rubbed and marinated over night then smoked slow for 12 hours until tender…
Served on a bun topped with Texan BBQ sauce, slaw and fries on the side. Memphis Barbecue Ribs
Pork Ribs dry rubbed then basted in our special Memphis sauce as they slowly cook…
Served with slaw and fries on the side. Kansas City Chicken Wings
Seasoned in a Kansas City season mix and slow smoked then fried to order…
Tossed in a mild/sweet Adobo sauce and served with slaw and fries. Texas Pulled Pork Loaded Fries

All our meats are marinated over night and slow smoked until tender. Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, Smoky Burgers, Chicken Wings and Ribs are still served with our authentic American house made sauces... Smoky Bourbon Maple BBQ Sauce, Southern Carolina Apricot Yellow Mustard sauce, fruity Hot sauce and Special Burger Sauce.... We are booked until the end of the Year with Weddings, Xmas Parties, Birthday Parties ect. But are now taking bookings for next year...

This will be a great day.... come along and support Kinglake FNC.

The Kinglake Football Netball Club are hosting a Community Family Day on Saturday the 10th of April from 2pm at the Kinglake Memorial Reserve.
This event is FREE and open to the whole community and we would love to see some new faces on the day.
The day includes plenty of free entertainment, prizes and giveaways for the kids including Pony Rides, Jumping Castles, an Auskick clinic run by the Auskick coordinators, Kinglake Junior Football Club and several of our senior players. There will be a kids Netball skills session run by some of our senior Netballers as well.
There will also be a marquee dining area setup with Food trucks there on the day including, Sunday Creek American Style BBQ, Uncle Kebabs and Sweet Forbidden Journey.
We hope to see you all there on the day

Served in a Brioche bun with 3 slices of cheese, bacon, housed made Maple Bourbon BBQ sauce and fries on the side... This burger goes great with an ice cold beer from Project Brewing Co.

Covid has changed a lot of things this year.... Normally we would be in Melbourne on Australia Day at the Treasury Gardens. But not this year, we are staying home... Come and celebrate the end of 2020 @ Project. This ticketed event will run from 8pm-1am, includes main meal + pint of choice* for $40 and being the family friendly brewery we are, for $20 kids can have a meal & softdrink.
The legends Sunday Creek American Southern Style BBQ are not only proving the food for this event but will be set up for the whole day from midday onwards!!!
