Palette - The Art of Cakes

Alas, 37 years is far too short a time to live among such excellent and admirable Hobbits, Elves, and brave men of Brisbane! But almost not enough time to make this wonder of a cake!

The strong bond between brothers (especially twins!) dive deep as their taste in fantasy literature clearly shows. This isn't Two Towers of cakes but One cake to rule them both! One side shows the love for the Shire life while the other is caught off in the wind and in song!

I combined the brothers' love for chocolate, caramel and peanut butter with my ever popular Chocolate and sour cream cake (always moist and delicious without being too rich) and layers of salted caramel ganache and peanut butter ganache.

Words can wring tears from the hardest hearts, but cake might just soothe the soul!

Here's to one hundred and eleven years more to these birthday boys! And don't forget, every birthday are worth making a Rothfuss about!

Ready for a BLOOMIN' good weekend?

Spring is here and what better way to celebrate it than with this absolute stunner!

This beauty was made to celebrate a 60th with 3 simple requests - Flowers, sparkle and elegant. Well, of course I had to do it the Palette way 😉

With my signature 'Washi Paper' finish around the cake, I used my trusty old paletter knife for the flowers on the side. But to top it off, I made some rice paper sails to create the beautiful cake topper. Add a bit of gold lustre dust and sprinkles and you just can't got wrong!

The weekend is in full bloom!

🌷🌼 A touch of colour to brighten your weekend 🌺⚘

After a much needed break and a new set up, Palette is back and running full speed ahead for 2022!
And what a beautiful way to start too!

This elegant and vibrant beauty was a vanilla butter cake with vanilla buttercream. It definitely lived up to the 'Palette' style because it felt more like painting than decorating a cake 😆 So much fun blending the colours together and the touches of gold elevates the overall look.

There's a lot more coming in the next coming weeks with a whole new line of specialty products available for order so stay tuned!

Annnnnnnnd we're live!
Took me longer than I wanted but finally got myself (somewhat) sorted and here we are!
