"Teachers change lives".......I truly believe this and it is the theme for World Teacher Day 2026.

World Teacher Day is Friday 30th October.

To help you show your appreciation, I have released my limited edition apple cookies. They are my signature vanilla sugar cookie, in the shape of an apple with red fondant and green leaves.

Brighten a teachers day and say thank you to the amazing people teachers are. It doesn't have to be a school teacher, maybe it's your coach, or your martial arts instructor, or your music teacher.

ICYMI, Bookings are now open for my Heart Cake Decorating Class.

I'm so excited to bring this class to you and show you how fun it is to create these kinds of cakes.

In this class you will.....

🧁Gain confidence in this hands on class and stop
watching endless cake decorating videos and learn how to do it yourself.

🧁Learn the basics of buttercream, colouring, piping techniques and decorating in a way that makes sense.

🧁Take time out of the everyday routine to be creative and learn a new skill

🧁Leave with your own beautifully decorated cupcakes and the confidence to give it a go at home.

🧁Enjoy a small, relaxed class where you can ask questions, have a laugh and learn with other like minded people.

You don't need experience or fancy skills. You'll be guided through it step by step, with help along the way.

Bookings for my heart cake class open tonight at 8pm!

Here are the details:

Bookings Open at 8pm tonight (Friday 16th October)

When: 25th October
Where: Middle Park, Brisbane
Time: 10:30am - 1:30pm
Experience level: Beginner
Recommended for ages 16 and up
Price: $189 or $330 (a saving of $48) if you book with a friend

I decided to keep this class super small, only a maximum of 4 people, which will allow for lots of one on one time with me.

I'm so excited to bring this class to you. Once you learn these techniques, you will be able to recreate this cake or decorate cupcakes that will absolutely wow your friends and family!

One week of cakes and cupcakes at TLC....

So this is how my week ended up. I had a total of 6 orders and Sam's birthday as well. It was a super busy one!

A few of you saw the edible blood on my to do list this week. It was needed for a murder mystery party cake. And I couldn't be prouder of how it turned out!! This was my vanilla cake filled with delicious salted caramel buttercream. It was so much fun to create. Thank you to my customer Mara for sending the photo complete with a knife in the top.

The week also had me creating a pretty rosette orange and poppyseed cake, Paw Patrol chocolate gf cake, daisy baby shower vanilla cake, mini vanilla cupcakes topped with lavender coloured buttercream, cute safari animal cupcakes in chocolate and vanilla and matching baby smash dairy free chocolate cake and finally Sammy's vanilla sponge with strawberries and cream.

Phew! It was such a fantastic week. And after a nice rest today, I'm all ready to start it all again tomorrow 😊😊

This is Friday at TLC.....

Oh my gosh guys what a week!! I had 6 orders and one birthday cake for Sam.

I hope you've enjoyed a little bit of a behind the scenes look at what I get up to every week. As you can see it quite a process from taking an order to handing it over to my lovely customers.

Thank you for trusting me to create something special and memorable for your special occasions. It truly means the absolute world to me and I love creating some fun or beautiful especially for you!

This is Thursday at TLC.....

Thursday is cake decorating day. One of my favourite days! I actually have 5 cakes this week, but one is not until Sunday, so that one will be decorated on Saturday.

I love to be super organised when I'm ready to decorate so I'm not running all over my kitchen looking for things.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's update. I can't wait for you to see how everything comes together!

This is Wednesday at TLC.....

Another busy day yesterday, so you're getting this post a day later 😁

If you were playing along with "What's Jacki Making..." and you guessed Salted Caramel, you were 100% right!! This is a filling for one of my cakes this week.

I also made buttercream for the week as well, and started making decorations for a few cakes too.

Finally we finished off with Sammy's family birthday celebrations which we had a day later with a family dinner and his request of sponge cake with jam, strawberries and fresh cream. I'm not a sponge cake maker. It's one cake I've never really mastered, until now! It was bloody delish!!

And that's Wednesday!

I hope you all had a great hump day. We're on the downhill into the weekend! Yay 😊
