somehow, peach & chai is ONE 🥹🍑🎂

I actually completely missed the anniversary because I’ve been so busy making cakes 😭 and then suddenly I started getting orders for first birthdays from people whose baby shower cakes I made last year… which was a very surreal little reminder that somehow an entire year has passed.

I don’t really know how to put into words how grateful I am for what this little business has become. To every person who has ordered a cake, recommended me, shared my work, sent a lovely message or trusted me with a special occasion -thank you. And an especially huge thank you to the people who have come back again and again and somehow let me be a tiny part of birthdays, baby showers, weddings, anniversaries and all the other important moments in between. It genuinely means more to me than I can say.

One of the loveliest and most unexpected parts of this year has been the people it’s brought into my life. I’ve met some of the kindest humans through cake, and somehow some customers have turned into people I now genuinely consider friends 🥹

There have been a lot of very late nights, a lot of buttercream, a lot of chaos and an amount of cake I genuinely could never have imagined making a year ago- but being kept this busy doing something I created from scratch is something I will never take for granted.

I have absolutely no idea what the next year of peach & chai looks like, but I’m very excited to find out 🫶🏼

also apparently one year felt like the appropriate time for a face reveal 😆 hello!! this is the person behind your cakes, although I can almost guarantee I do not look this put together when you come to collect them.

happy 1st birthday to my little accidental cake business 🤍 and thank you for keeping me busier than I ever could have dreamed.

(and obviously a birthday cake was required 🎂🐰✨)
