Well Monday was a hard day for us as the owners of Samuel Gee Pies and Pastries as it presented a lot of bitter sweet moments.
We are proud to announce that we have sold the business to new owners.
Now this wasn't any ordinary sale and it certainly wasn't to an ordinary buyer.
As you all know Tanya Tickner has been our shop manager for almost 6 years
She is not just my manager she is my best friend and partner in crime. She is my family maybe not by blood but definitely by heart.
Herself and her family have been by our side through what I would call the vows of
Marraige.
To have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part."
That's exactly what it has been like for the last 6 odd years.
We have laughed, cried got a little angry but always looked after each other. Created a lot of memories that will never be erased
So we have actually sold our business to the Tickner family.
I am 7th generation baker in my family and my mum is 94 years old and I am the last baker in my family, sad but true.
I couldn't wish for a more deserving family to carry on my families history. They have already had 3 generations with Tanya's mum herself and all of Tanya's children work in the shop. So rest assured not one thing is going to change.
They have all the recipies and have been taught by myself so they all know what they are doing.
I would like to thank all of my staff, Shane and Tanya's Mum and Dad for everything you have done for us
But especially I would like to thank all of our beautiful customers that supported us through good times and bad. Without you we wouldnt exist.
So this is us posting for the last time and please support the Tickners as they are so dedicated to Samuel gee pies and pastries and because I know they will do amazing.
