Amy Chapman is an award winning cake artist from Australia and the owner of ‘Inspired Cakes – by Amy’. Amy specialises in meticulously sculpted 3d and novelty cakes and was named as one of the top 3 Australian finalists for 'Decorator of the year' in the 2019 Australian Cake decorating & baking Industry awards. She is largely self-taught with a natural sculptural ability and a keen eye for detail

Hey everyone!
I'm a little late to the party, but I'm absolutely thrilled to share some amazing news with you all! Last Saturday, I had the incredible honour of winning the 2023 3D & Sculpted Cake Award at the Australian Cake Decorating and Baking Industry Awards hosted by the Australian Cake Decorating Network.
I was heartbroken not to attend in person due to unforeseen circumstances, but your support means the world to me. 🙏
I also want to give a shoutout to my fellow finalists – you are all amazing artists, and I'm honoured to be in such talented company. And, of course, a big thank you to the ACDN team and my award sponsor, Cake TV!

🎬Just when you thought things couldn't get any stranger...
I had the chance to create a really cool cake inspired by the legendary 'Stranger Things' series. Did you recognise the creepy 'Demogorgon' AKA Flower Monster? Modelled from chocolate, it was the perfect feature to top this cake!

- Ned Kelly C A K E sculpture -
The most famous outlawed bushranger in Australian history, and I was completely thrilled to receive this commission!

This cake was modelled after an actual, real life bronze statue of Ned which was kindly leant to me for reference.

It's all cake! With the exception of the cake board and internal structure, Ned was completely edible and was carved from my delicious chocolate mud cake. On the outside, it was covered with, and modelled using fondant - I just love the bronze-look finish on this cake, what do you think?😍
