Congratulations to Danny, Trina, Matt & Caz McGrath for winning the Southern Tablelands Flock Ewe Championship.

It is a massive win for the McGrath family after winning our local competition in Boorowa and then going on to win the regional against teams from Taralga, Crookwell, Gunning and Boorowa.

Congratulations to the regional committee for a very well run event. And special thank you to the judges Malcolm Cox, Blake Tremain and Toby Elliott for giving up their time! 🐑

A very exciting result for Tara Park at the GSSM in Bathurst this week! The highlight was winning the Supreme Exhibit of the Show and the Group of 5.

A huge congratulations to the committee for organising such a well-run and successful show. Thank you as well to the judges for generously giving up their time and expertise. The show would not be what it is without the fantastic support of our sponsors as well.

The Great Southern Supreme Merino Show returns to Bathurst Showgrounds next week, bringing together 220 Merinos from 21 of the leading studs across NSW and Victoria.

For three days, Bathurst becomes a showcase of the very best in Merino genetics — where stud and commercial breeders stand side-by-side, benchmarking progress and shaping the future of the industry.

We’re also pleased to welcome AWI’s Scott Carmody, speaking on Tuesday on industry developments and opportunities ahead.

This is more than competition — it’s about connection, progress and the continued strength of the Australian Merino.
