Dear regulars and patrons of this quirky cafe up this end of town.
We have loved serving you over the last 15 months. Doling out great coffee, smiles, cakes, that bloody lasagne and other assorted random items that we think are totally appropriate for consumption!
The motel/cafe is sold but business will still continue with a few familiar faces on deck. You won’t have to look at my hideous face first thing in the morning though or put up with my rudeness 😂
Trading this week is short. Operating Tues and Wed usual times 7-2 then closed Thursday and Friday for reopening on Monday 4th.

It’s been a while between posts! Our lovely Sandra was always the gal for the job.
All the usual suspects will be on offer on the morrow - lasagne, b&e pie, toasties etc but we’re introducing The Persian Love Cake - it’s gluten free and utterly delicious.
Home made Anzac biscuits and ginger crunch slice from a little old kiwi cookbook that I know 😉
Dance by with your silver wings and pair it up with an honest to goodness coffee.
Closed Tuesday 25 April to honour our soldiers and beasts both fallen and still serving.

Kiwi Day Monday February 6
The Treaty of Waitangi was signed in 1840, in Paihia, beautiful Bay of Islands in the North Island of New Zealand. While there are contentious issues that still exist- it is a day celebrated by many. The link provided here is a humorous yet historical and educational video of how it all came about.
To celebrate this day, we will serve Pavlova which is our National dish ( don’t start a fight hey 😂) whitebait (sic) fritters for lunch and a whole range of other kiwiana goods for your morning tea. Proud to be an All Black in Black All. See what I did there.
Anyway watch the thing. It’s worth it!

G’day mates - we have decided to open the cafe doors from 7am - 12pm tomorrow to let you bunch of bush rangers in for coffee, lamb and gravy rolls and lamingtons. Happy Aus Day!

Closed weekends to bake and restock! (Been a wee bit short on time to do this lately).

Hey Brolga chicks!
I’m returning a lovely small person back to Orange so the lovely Mia Russell will keep the nest warm in my absence.
There are reduced trading hours (7-12pm) for the cafe commencing Friday 6 Jan until Friday 13th Jan. Closed Sat and Suns 7,8 and 14,15 Jan. Back to regular trading after those dates.
