A pic of this weekend's cake. Such a simple but beautiful design.

This was for Chloe's 1st birthday. It was a double barrel 8" cake. Bottom cake was a dense vanilla butter cake tinted pink; and the top cake was vanilla coconut. Both filled with white chocolate ganache and covered in the palest pink fondant. Straight "ruffles" were a mix of pinks.

I absolutely loved doing this cake for a gorgeous little lady.

Hi all,

It's been a while since I posted a cake.

This was for a "I'm NOT turning 40" birthday girl.

Double chocolate (milk &dark) with milk choc ganache; double barrel.

It was terrible weather this week for cake decorating. Humid and hot. Air conditioning was a must.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed your cake Katie.

The kitchen is smelling amazing.

Vanilla Bean Mud cooking on the top shelf of the oven and a Milk Chocolate Mud cooking on the bottom shelf. Can't decide which is the best!

Went to the Cake Bake and Sweets show today in Sydney. Had a fantastic day. I think next year, I might enter the cake decorating competition.

But for now, I'm inspired by a couple of girls I met there - Southern Girl Desserts - for those who get foxtel, these gals won one of the seasons of cupcake wars. Now, I have never seen this show since I don't have foxtel. But...they have inspired me to get creative. I want you guys to throw a few different flavours at me. Going to trial some new cupcakes. So, come on. give me some suggestions on unusual flavours. You never know, you might just end up being the recipient of a dozen cupcakes of your flavour!

Today was my middle daughter's Christmas concert at daycare. I always do a cake to be given away as first prize in the raffle.
This years was a Christmas bunny. The original design was from Lisa of Sweet Disposition cakes. I added the Santa hat to get into the Christmas spirit.

Gorgeous little guy. Milk chocolate mud with milk choc ganache. Also has a bit of caramel modelling chocolate used to get the shape of his features.

Today it was my darling daughter's 5th birthday. After many conversations about what sort of cake she would like, we settled on a Maleficent theme.

I found a gorgeous cake topper online and if I could find who it was by, I will credit the design. But sadly I haven't come across it yet.

Anyway, very cute.

Cake was milk choc mud with milk choc ganache.

My eldest daughter celebrated her 7th birthday on the 23rd August. As every little girl this year has had, a "Frozen" theme was order of the day. I didn't want to create a cake that looked similar to all the other frozen cakes out there. Instead, we chose something different. Simple and special.

The cake was milk chocolate mud, torted and filled with milk chocolate ganache. 8"at the top, carved down to 6" with a slope. Think the shape of a madhatter, but only one tier.

The figurine is Elsa (although doesn't look a great deal like Elsa...lol) in her Coronation gown.

Elsa is hand modelled out of rice crispies with fondant covering.
