I discovered the thermomix 10 years ago. I had heard a few things and was interested but I was not sold. I loved to cook, so I was sceptical. My oldest child had serious behavioural issues, he also had delayed speech and dela

yed social skills. I had another child too, and I was struggling. Being a mum, wasn't what I had dreamed it was going to be. It was quite the opposite. I was constantly leaving places in tears, as My 3 yr old was having a melt down and I wished the earth would swallow me up. Sometimes, I just had to leave. It was a total nightmare. I started taking him to a private speech therapist, as the wait was too long through the public system and we needed help, fast. With a referral and a mental health plan from my GP, I was able to get some free/subsidised appointments to see an independent speech therapist. Her name was Kylie. It was to be the start of our next chapter. Kylie was our therapist, we drove nearly and hour each way to see her for 45 minutes, every other week. She was absolutely incredible with my son. She used language he engaged with and she was delightfully patient, when he was being stubborn. We both grew very fond of Kylie, I finally had someone to talk to and my son was making great progress. But things were still difficult. After a few visits, Kylie suggested that I look closer at my sons diet. Perhaps he was intolerant to some things, she said. She lent me some literature, a book called Fed up by Sue Dengate, and a DVD. https://www.fedup.com.au/

None of these were directly to help with the speech therapy, but more to educate me on toxins in our home and foods we eat. I quickly discovered some shocking truths. I was the reason my son was having all these issues. Mostly, it was what I was feeding him. After watching the FED UP documentary, I seen so many similarities to my son. It was a real awakening to me on the effects of processed foods and additives in so many of the foods I was feeding him. So, I had discovered he was toxified. His body couldn't cope. (he has a low threshold, lower than most) So I needed to cut them out, and do it fast. I must make all his food from scratch. We did an elimination diet and seen a naturopath too. Around about this time, I also was hearing about the thermomix. I couldn't afford a thermomix. I was on maternity leave, which was going on for ever. I had no real spare money. But, I went to see what all the hype was about. Curiosity got the better of me. Safe to say, I left that demo, wanting a thermomix. I could see the value. I could see how that was going to help me change the course that we were heading in our lives. Hands down, the best decision I've ever made. Safe to say, I couldn't afford to NOT have a thermomix. 10 years later. Its paid for itself on so many levels. Our sanity, my families health and of course, my sons well being. The change in his behaivour was totally un believable. Everyone commented on it. Play group was now back on the menu and I never left anywhere in tears again. The thermomix is such an amazing machine, its truly changed our lives. We try to make everything from scratch (occasionally we have a cheats day, we are only human) but most of the time its fresh and home made, from scratch.. I love cooking and have always enjoyed it. It was 2020, when I upgraded to the TM6 thermomix, that I decided to start as a consultant. I hope I can help more mums out there, that are struggling, like I was. I will be taking my thermomix business on the road, heading around Australia with my 3 kids early 2021. I love that I will be able to do this,. Giving us all an experience we will treasure for ever. If you follow me, I will be sure to share lots of tips, and great recipes. From simple quick dinners to the flavour sensations from all around the world. How to hide vegies in nearly every dish and what foods to swap out, to reduce your families toxicity levels. Please feel free to call me, mesage or text. 0409 980 519. Behind every Thermomix demo, recipe, market day and delivery is a real family.

People often see the finished product, but what they don't always see is that this business allows me, as a single mum, to homeschool my children, pay the rent and build a life where I can be present for the people who matter most.

Every demo you book, every Thermomix you purchase, every referral you send my way and every time you like or share one of my posts helps keep this little business growing.

So today, I simply want to say thank you. 🌼 🌸

Thank you for trusting me as your consultant. Thank you for recommending me to your family and friends. Thank you for supporting a local small business with every interaction.

You aren't just helping someone buy a kitchen appliance. You're helping a mum continue doing what she loves while being there for her kids every single day.

I'm incredibly grateful for each and every one of you. πŸ’š sorry Kirstie Stockx .. I just love this picture of us today at our homeschool gathering/Party. 😘

In between homeschooling, Thermomix markets, deliveries, and demos, we headed to Gembrook to help my in-laws pack up and move. 45 years.. 12 kids. 30 grand kids. Its alot of life and memories. 😒

I've been incredibly blessed with the most welcoming, caring, and generous in-laws. Always there for guidance. Support and a delicious cup of coffee❀️

The memories we've made at Tudour Lodge will stay with our family forever. As we packed boxes, loaded trailers, and shared our favourite stories, there were plenty of laughs, a few tears, and so much gratitude.

It's the end of an era, but also the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Anne and Kees. Wishing them every happiness in what's ahead. 🏑✨

What also reminded me how thankful I am is that I could still work while helping family. Between filling boxes, two wonderful families decided to take advantage of the current trade-in discounts and add the BBL bundle to their orders.

What a gift that this business gives me the flexibility to be there for the people I love while still helping others bring a Thermomix into their homes.

My heart is full. Feeling incredibly grateful. πŸ™β€οΈ

Take the night off Anne.😍
Again. Money well spent

Anne is on light duties after a recent operation.... so Kees has to fend for himself now and then.

And he's a pretty happy to put his eggs on now. Knowing they will be perfect.

Those who dont know. This is actually My incredible father inlaw. Kees van Strijp. He's in his early 70's.
He's raised 12 children. And now theres 30 odd grandkids.

Whilst he was sceptical about that thermomix. He's now well and truly converted.

How good is the egg boiler mode..πŸ‘Œ. perfect every time. Even for this "mere male" (his words.. hahah)

I love seeing everyone use the thermomix. What a treat to catch dad using it too. πŸ˜†

Which Thermomix did you start with?

I bought my first Thermomix 11 years ago.

Trust me... I went to that demo thinking, "This isn't for me. I'm just curious." πŸ€ͺ

Sound familiar?

Back then it was the TM5 and it cost $2269.

At the time I had two little boys, aged 3 and 18 months, and life was hectic.

My oldest son was non-verbal and had some challenging behaviours. He would bang his head on walls, struggled with emotions, couldn't make simple choices, and would often lash out at other children.

I can't tell you how many times I left playgroup in tears or abandoned a full shopping trolley halfway through the supermarket.

Mum life sucked. 😒

Our speech therapist suggested we look at his diet, so we started a low-tox journey. But making everything from scratch took forever.

Then a friend invited me to a Thermomix demo.

She knew something I didn't. πŸ˜†

When the sugar went into that bowl and transformed into icing sugar before my eyes, with the sweet dust floating through the air and tickling my nose, I was hooked. 😍

But I still wasn't buying one!

When the consultant offered to come back and do a second demo for my husband, I thought maybe if he could see the value, this might actually happen.

Practical man that he is, he immediately saw how much it could help our family. Not just me, but our boys too.

So we filled out the paper order form. Yep... paper forms! πŸ˜‚

A few days later, our Thermomix arrived.

And I made EVERYTHING.

No more packet muffins.
No more jar sauces.
No more packet mixes.

Just real food, made from scratch, quickly and easily.

The time it saved me was life-changing.

But the real magic happened with my son.

Slowly, things started to change.

He began talking.

His behaviour improved.

I no longer had to leave places in tears.

Parenting started to feel good again.

My life changed.

My son's life changed so much that people started asking me what I'd done.

For me, Thermomix didn't just help me cook.

It helped save my sanity, gave me confidence in the kitchen, and helped me create healthier meals for my family.

That's why I still do what I do today.

Because I want other families to feel that same confidence, pride, and joy that comes from nourishing the people they love.

So tell me...

Are you still on the fence. Its nice to read another person's review. One that is not financially benefiting. Might make you feel more confident in your purchase.

And there's always a demo to go to. Or have your own cooky looky at your place. You dont have to invite the neighbourhood. Im happy to just come over with my Thermomix... you. Me and my black beauty.

I never get sick of hearing. I should have done this years ago...

Here is a follow up article to β€˜7 Days With A Thermomix: The Verdict Is In.’

I wanted to give an honest, non-gifted, unbiased review.

I wanted to write how to afford one, for those who are wanting to buy but put off by the big price.

Thermomix has really been a game changer for our family. I tell everyone about it and they often say I should be a consultant.

As much as I’d like the extra income of being a consultant or partnering with , I want to be a trustworthy source of information. When an item is given for free or have an affiliate link or sponsored, it can be hard to know if the item is actually good or just a way for that influencer to make money.

I don’t want to do that. We paid full price for the Thermo and our cutter. I hope that if you are thinking of buying one, articles and points of view like mine can be trusted. πŸ€—

I do wish we’d bought it earlier. Hindsight is a beautifully infuriating thing.
