Miss Biscotti

Miss Biscotti Miss Biscotti has become an obsession. I just love these sweet, crunchy biscuits and NOW I am baking macarons too, for those with a sweet tooth.

Biscotti are an Italian style biscuit which literally translates as 'twice baked'. The texture of the biscuit is dry and hard which is traditionally either dunked in coffee or a wine such as Vin Santo an Italian desert style wine. The biscotti are thought to have originated in roman times as a convenience food for travellers during their long journeys. The popularity of the biscotti spread across Italy with each province developing their own version.

Had a great first market in Benalla on Sunday. Not bad takings and excellent feedback from customers. The samples went down very well and kids enjoyed helping out too (miss/masterbiscotti) - alias Oskar and Issy
