🏆🥧 WE’VE DONE IT 🥧🏆

We’re absolutely stoked to announce that Banana Boogie Bakery has taken out the Gourmet Pork Pie Category at the 37th Official Great Aussie Pie Competition 🐷🥇

Our Smokey BBQ Pulled Pork Pie has taken out the category and brought home the GOLD! 🔥

We also picked up two more Gold Medals this week:

🍄 Our Vegetarian Mushroom Stroganoff Pie — GOLD 🥇

👨‍🍳 Apprentice Bert’s Apricot Chicken Pie — GOLD 🥇

It’s especially bloody awesome to see one of our long-term crowd favourite take out a category. The Smokey BBQ Pulled Pork Pie has been a staple at Boogie for years, so to see it recognised at the 37th Official Great Aussie Pie Competition is pretty damn special.

A massive congratulations to the whole Boogie team! ❤️‍🔥

We got the trophy back! 🏆❤️

What a weekend at the National Vanilla Slice Triumph in Merbein!

Getting that trophy back was SUPER SWEET 🍰🏆 After finishing 2nd last year, the team came hungry to reclaim the crown — and they absolutely delivered.

The judges said it was an incredibly close competition this year, which makes the win even more special.

And what an effort from the whole baking team! 👏

So proud of every single one of them. The skill, dedication and hours that go into getting these slices just right is massive.

🥐 THE BOOGIE VAN IS OFF! 🇦🇺🏆

This Friday, the bakers pack up the Boogie Van and hit the road for Mildura/Merbein, Victoria, ready for Saturday’s National Vanilla Slice Triumph!

For the third year in a row, it’s the same crew heading off to put our vanilla slices to the test against some of the best in the country.

We took the crown home in 2024 🏆, then finished 2nd in 2025… and that second place has given this team one hell of a hunger to get that crown back in 2026. 🔥

Now it’s time to lock in, back ourselves and see what happens.

While the team is away competing, there’ll be limited stock available at both Belair and North Plympton this Saturday, so if you’re chasing your Boogie fix, get in early!

We’re still pinching ourselves after an incredible few days at the National Pie & Pastie Competition on the Gold Coast!

🥇 Australia vs New Zealand – Trans Tasman Sausage Roll Challenge
We’re proud to say the trophy is staying in Australia, with Banana Boogie taking out the Trans Tasman Sausage Roll title against our Kiwi rivals.

🥇 Best Mushroom Pie in Australia
Our Mushroom Stroganoff Pie was crowned the best mushroom pie in the country. A huge result for a pie we absolutely love making.

🥇 Gold medals also went to:
• Pulled Pork Pie
• Seafood Paella Pie
• Beef, Mac & Cheese & Sriracha Pie
• Mitch’s Traditional Pastie

A special mention to our apprentice Bert, who earned his place in the prestigious National Baking Excellence Apprenticeship Competition. While he didn’t come away with the top prize, we couldn’t be prouder of the dedication, hard work and courage he showed competing against the best young bakers in Australia. The future is bright.

These awards are a reflection of an incredible team that turns up every day before the sun rises and gives everything they have. To our staff, customers, supporters and everyone who cheers us on – thank you. ❤️

There was absolutely no way we could celebrate both properly in one day, so we’ve decided to give Australia’s favourite pastry the attention it deserves this Saturday.

To celebrate being crowned Australia’s Best Sausage Roll 2026, we’re rolling back the clock and rolling back the price.

After missing out last year, the team went back to the recipe book, made a few minor tweaks… and this weekend we officially took back the title of Best Sausage Roll in Australia at the South Australian Baking Show 🏆🥐

An incredible result for the whole crew, and we’re beyond proud to also bring home:🥇 1st Place Vanilla Slice🥇 1st Place Beef Pie

And of course Lauren worked her magic once again, taking out:🥕 Carrot Cake 🍩 Gourmet Donuts (Key Lime Cheesecake) 🧁 Decorated Cupcakes

To top it all off, we were crowned Most Successful Cake & Pastry Exhibitor for the show.

Last night at the Champion Awards in Sydney, Banana Boogie was named Best Bakery.

After taking out the state title late last year, we thought we’d throw our hat in the ring at a national level… and what do you know.

This one means a lot.

To our team — the early mornings, the pressure, the consistency you bring every day… this is yours.

To everyone who supports us across both stores — thank you. You back us hard and push us to keep raising the bar.
