WooHoo! Let's celebrate! Starting this Saturday we'll be at the .org.au every Saturday, with our full range of Basket Range Baker sourdoughs and viennoiserie, and gluten free breads, cakes, cookies, brownies and other delights.

(Don't worry, we'll still be at Willunga Farmers Market, Adelaide Farmers Market and Stirling Market as usual.)

I went kayaking down at Port Adelaide this morning and in addition to a couple of dolphins, which is always nice, saw a great big ship unloading fertiliser for our farmers. So fingers crossed for a good crop of grain this season.

Tomorrow, Saturday, we will be at Willunga Farmers Market and Adelaide Hills Farmers Market.

Most of our market customers will recognise twins Eamonn and Finlay Horan, and their younger brother Liam who work on our stall at Adelaide and Willunga Farmers Markets. They also help out in our garden during school holidays. We count ourselves incredibly fortunate to have such lovely and talented young men in our lives. Oh Yum! Sourdough cinnamon scroll for breakfast. We bought it yesterday while exploring the villages around the lake we are staying at. So 30 seconds in the microwave to make it warm and soft. Absolutely delicious! The bakery was gorgeous. Tiny. Spotless. Full of deliciousness.

We have such a wonderful team of young adults looking after us, our customers and each other.

Early Saturday morning when the bake was done, the van packed and ready to go, Erica arrived as ysual at 6.00 am to drive the van to Willunga . Turned the key. Not even a click. Dead flat battery. Andrew pivoted from end of shift baker to emergency mechanic. Hunted around in the dark for a starter pack. Which didn't work. Called us in Italy to ask if I knew where the jumper leads are, and found them just as we cleared our heads and worked out what that ringing noise was. Andrew and Erica got the van going. Yay! Erica drive calmly and incident free to Willunga. Arriving pretty much as the bell went. The crew there were ready and waiting and got the marquee and tables out and stocked and ready to go in about 10 minutes flat. Amazing effort by all!

Big thanks to the Adelaide Hills and Mount Barker community. Jess and her son Jacob had a busy day at Adelaide Hills Farmers Market .org.au meeting and chatting to locals and of course selling Sourdough Croissants and Gluten Free breads. Jess has been part of our team in the bakery and at farmers markets for several years now and youll also catch her brewing amazing coffees every mondsy at our cafe, The Local Loaf. It was Jacob's first day. See you again next month!
