MASTERS OF TWO WORLDS 🛰️

The Centre for Appropriate Technology (CfAT) has spent over 40 years training and employing Aboriginal people across Central and Northern Australia and now it's stepping into cybersecurity and AI.

CEO Niki Ross says the move is about future-proofing hi-tech career pathways for Aboriginal people while helping Australian businesses become more cyber-ready. CfAT already runs two satellite dishes and space debris tracking telescopes from its Alice Springs headquarters.

From hand-forged bush tucker tools to space tech to cybersecurity - this is what happens when the world's oldest surviving culture meets the world's newest technology.

This week’s lunch special’s menu is out and we’ve got lots of yummy meals available all week long .

Lunch is served from 11.30am - 1.30pm

We have a small team of 2 at the moment so please have some patience if they’re run off their feet.

We celebrated 'Campus Christmas' yesterday with all of the Precinct partners Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education RTO 0383, Centre for Appropriate Technology, Desert Knowledge Australia, Ekistica and our tenants sharing a delicious lunch provided by Treat Me Good Cafe & Catering.

We will be closing down for the holiday period from COB this Friday December 19 until January 5.

Wishing everyone a merry and safe festive season and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2026!
