FORE!!!!….Celebrating a golf enthusiast birthday with a chocolate mud cake filled with chocolate ganache and a replica of his golf bag made out of fondant by hand and of course I had to add some ducks

So this happened on the weekend….I won 1st place at the WillungaAlmondBlossomFestival in the category “Great Community Bake Off”, with this cute little kookaburra cake, it was a almond sponge with almond buttercream, all feathers where individually cut, feathered and placed one by one and everything you see is edible, I’ve never done a competition before so I was feeling very nervous but I’m so thrilled the judges thought to give it a 1st place position

We are on a sea adventure this week with handmade and hand painted sea turtles, coral, seaweed, rocks all in fondant and edible, for the sea it is airbrushed ombré effect for the water, I absolutely loved creating this one and it would have to be in my top 3 of favourite cakes
