šŸ† 2026 South Australian Volunteer Awards

It is with great excitement that we share with you all that on Monday night, at Government House, Camden Community Centreā€™s Food & Wellbeing Outreach Program was awarded one of SAā€™s five most prestigious award for volunteers ā€“ ā€˜The Andamooka Community Project Awardā€™

This is an incredible honour & a moment of real pride for Camden.

While the award recognises the Outreach Program, it reflects something even more important: the way all of Camdenā€™s programs work together to make this impact possible.

From behind-the-scenes support to front-line volunteering, from daily operations to community engagementā€”this achievement is the result of a shared effort across the entire centre.

A special thank you to Janet, Chris & the entire Outreach Team, whose hours of dedication shows up in so many different ways every dayā€”cooking meals, delivering food, packing food parcels, collecting donations, sorting supplies, creating connections with some of most vulnerable, isolated community members, & mentoring others.

The variety of work you take on, often quietly & consistently, is at the heart of what we are. šŸ©·

Thank you šŸ¤©
