BAKE CLUB UPDATE! OMG, IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! 😍🎃🧁

I honestly had the BEST time! I was soooo impressed with what everyone made. There wasn’t a single repeat product, and everything tasted absolutely delicious. 🤤

It was so lovely getting to try everyone’s creations, see the different ideas people came up with and meet other people who love baking as much as I do. ❤️

I’ve had a few people message asking how they can get involved, so I thought I’d share!

Unfortunately, this one was a private Bake Club, but if it sounds like your kind of thing, I HIGHLY recommend either starting your own with a group of fellow baking lovers or checking out Nanna’s Bake Club, which is open to the public. 🙌

Honestly, if you love baking, trying new things and sharing what you make, it’s such a fun way to spend some time!

Now I’m already thinking about what I’d bake for the next one. 😂🍰

HOW COOL IS THIS?! 😍🎃

Tomorrow I’m heading to a private, Halloween themed Bake Club and I AM SO EXCITED! 🙌🧁

If you’ve never heard of a Bake Club, everyone bakes something, brings it along and swaps a serve with every other person. So you get to try a whole bunch of different creations made by some very talented bakers. How fun is that?!

It’s my first one, so I’ll be sure to share some photos of everyone’s creations with you all. ❤️

And what am I bringing? Lemon tarts and macarons, of course! 🍋🤍 Because apparently I can’t go anywhere without bringing macarons. 😂

🎃 AND YES, WE’LL BE OPEN FOR HALLOWEEN!

We’re getting into the Halloween spirit for the entire week leading up to the 31st, with spooky themed sweet treats AND trick or treating at the shop! 👻🍬

So pop in, grab yourself a cheeky little treat and bring the kids along for some Halloween fun.

MAJOR FACEPALM MOMENT. 🤦‍♀️😂

Sometimes I like to trick myself when I look at the clock and see 9:35am.

AKA orders start going out at 10am. 😳

My overtired brain immediately kicks into HYPER SPEED. I’m moving at a million miles an hour, smashing through jobs, getting everything done, wondering how on earth I’m going to pull this off in time. 😂💨

Then I take a second look at the clock…

IT’S 8:35AM. 💀🤣

An entire extra hour. Just sitting there. And I’ve already worked myself into a frenzy for absolutely no reason.

Please tell me I’m not the only one whose brain does this. 🫠😂

THICK. FUDGY. VEGAN. BROWNIES. 🤎🍫

Our lovely friends popped in last night while we were whipping up brownies and asked if they were vegan.

Unfortunately, they weren’t! 🥹

But in the spirit of things (and because we’re always up for a little kitchen adventure), we decided to whip up a vegan batch too!

And let’s just say… thick, fudgy brownies don’t need eggs or dairy to be ridiculously good. 🤤

Sometimes the best things come from a little last-minute inspiration. ❤️

It’s well and truly wedding and events season, and we are FEELING it! Under the pump is an understatement. 😂

Out the back, we’re filling macarons like there’s no tomorrow, getting everything ready to head out the door for a big weekend of celebrations. 💍🎂

And here’s a little cheeky peek at some Hot Chocolate macarons we’ve been making for one very special little fella whose macaron choices begin and end with this flavour. 🥹🤎

When you know what you like, you know what you like! And honestly, we love that he has his very own signature order. ❤️

How many eggs did I accidentally order? Let’s just say there are enough to make a few batches of brownies a day for the next WEEK. 💀😂

As a foodie, this absolutely warms my heart.

Behind every incredible dish is someone who has poured their heart, skill and countless hours into their craft. As someone who has spent years perfecting my own little corner of the food world, I have so much respect for that.

Seeing South Australian talent recognised on this level is something worth celebrating. 🙌

BUT WHAT A RIPPER OF A DAY!!

We absolutely got HAMMERED today, and honestly, we’re still trying to wrap our heads around it. 🥹

If you popped in late this afternoon and wondered where all the flavours had gone… I promise we haven’t forgotten how to count to 22. 😂

We just couldn’t keep up!

Our usual 22 flavour lineup was looking a little sad by the end of the day, and the choices were definitely limited. So if you missed out on your favourite, I’m sorry!

But seriously… to have days like this, where we’re working late because you guys have shown up in such a big way?

That’s a pretty bloody good problem to have. ❤️

We’ll be back at it tomorrow, we’re currently filling, baking to get that fridge looking beautiful again.

Popped in to say hello to the lovely Hannah and check out her new slice van and honestly… SO BLOODY COOL! 😍

Of course, we couldn’t leave empty handed. 😂

Managed to secure ourselves some goodies just before everything disappeared… PHEW! Talk about perfect timing! 🏃‍♀️💨

Nothing better than seeing our fellow small business legends out there doing their thing and absolutely smashing it. ❤️
