ALERT everyone! We are at the Prospect Markets this Saturday and Sunday from 10-3, and we are doing something completely different! We'll be offering a small range of sandwiches, toasties, pretzels, and a special dessert. This dessert comes from my family's country of Austria, and its history ranges from the funny to the bizarre. Watch this space to find out what's on the menu!

These tarts are an absolute classic and a best-seller. A delicious vanilla pastry cream sits inside a light sweet pastry crust, with gorgeous fresh Australian strawberries on top 🤤 if I could choose one thing to eat for the rest of my life this would be a top contender! ❤👌

Appreciation post! (And it's a bit of a long one!)

Without these three people constantly backing me, showing up, and supporting me none of what I do would be possible. So after a hectic market day I thought I'd share my love for these people.

To Isabelle. Your knowledge on how to run a business, stepping in to help with dishes or offer solutions to problems when I'm too stressed to think is absolutely invaluable. So is the fact that you let me do all this in your kitchen! Without you waking up at the crack of dawn to help load things into a car, drive down to the market and make sure we're set up right life would be a lot more difficult to thank you.

To Martin. There's so much you do that you don't know about it's ridiculous. Your excellent saleperson skills always lift my spirits, the compliments you shower on me only around other people make me smile, your sage advice, patience and logical thinking get me through each day. Without me knowing that you're always there, that you've always got my back, I wouldn't be able to do this.

To my dad, Gary. You being willing to put your day on pause, do a quick take home box run and come to our markets really makes me feel amazing. And then you even walk around the market and get people you know to come to our stall. Another great salesperson, and another person I know will always have my back.

Some other people I must mention. Peter, your feedback on our GF products is invaluable to me. And it always makes me happy seeing you munching away on something I've just made without a care in the world.
Amy, you're a bit of a goof but you brighten up the kitchen when you walk in and I'm in chaos mode. Thanks for the laughs, and that goes for Ike as well.
Robert, we hardly knew each other yet you were perfectly happy to come up to my place and help out. You may have gotten free pizza out of it, but you were like a godsend so thanks for the help.

I love you all and I can't wait for the chaos to happen again! ❤

Let's talk cupcakes! We don't often bring them to markets but we absolutely offer them for personal events. We are absolutely in love with our lemon meringue cupcakes, a delicious vanilla cupcake filled with homemade lemon curd and topped with a perfectly fluffy meringue. We have our jam cupcakes, a moist vanilla cupcake filled with homemade jam and topped with a colourful, silky Swiss meringue buttercream. And the last cupcake featured is our classic red velvet, with a rich cream cheese frosting and gorgeous sugar flower on top. If you see these around be sure to grab one quick, they vanish in the blink of the eye!

Aaah! So excited! Our first ever mention in someone's post! We are so looking forward to being back at Kapunda this Sunday, come on down as we have new cakes coming and the other stalls that will be there are absolutely gorgeous as well. There is so much to see, try, and buy no one could possibly leave without a little something something themselves.
Can't wait to see everyone there!

This Sunday, come on down to the Town Square and explore all of the amazing artisanal goods on offer. There's something for everyone, so bring your friends and family along for a great day out!

From start to finish, our scrolls are some of our favourite to make! They always rise beautifully, their fruitiness is delicious when paired with the lemon glaze we drizzle over the top, and they'll always have you back for another. The flavour in the photos are our blueberry and raspberry scrolls, but don't worry. We have plenty more flavours so everyone can have a favourite.

This is the cake that started it all . . . my Jamaican Ginger Cake. A Scottish customer once told me that in his years of travel, this was the best ginger cake he'd ever had.
Made with lots of fresh ginger, delicious spiced rum, and with a delicious zesty orange glaze, I have given this cake to many people as a birthday gift, a thank you, and as a little something to brighten their day. It has always been my biggest crowd pleaser.
As a customer told us, "this cake has attitude!" Be sure to try it the next time we have it at a market!

Super excited to have been able to introduce ourselves to the Kapunda community. Thank you to the Kapunda Makers Markets for having us, thank you to everyone who braved the heat and showed support to all the fabulous makers out that day, and a huge thank you to everyone who visited our humble stall. You all made our very first market a roaring success!!
We can't wait to be there again next month! Put the 19th of March in your calendars people, we're going to be introducing some new delicious treats and bring back many of our beloved goodies. We'll see you all then!
