You can’t buy happiness,but you can buy cakes and thats kind of the same thing!! Whenever I saw my 3 year old son gorge on cakes bought from the store, I felt how nicer it would be if I could do it myself, making it authentic & healthier than the ones at the store… at least for my little one. But as I started baking more, I started enjoy

ing the whole process. The immense possibilities of this art amazed me and finally, I decided on taking some professional guidance and delve deeper into this. Since then there has been no turning back. My little one is 6 now and he still gorges on cakes as much as he used to do earlier. There is no greater joy than seeing the joy in his eyes and others who appreciate my passion for this and encourage me to explore more. I felt it was time I shared this happiness called “cakes” with everybody and thus was born Cake-A-Diction. My husband - Ramesh, and my partner in all crimes - Krithika Sivakumar, have been lab rats for most of the cakes I have been baking. And that’s how Cake-A-Diction became the beginning of a journey of two people who apart from sharing the same name, also shared the same interests – love for cakes (and food per se) among many others. Every cake has a story to tell and we would love to share it with as many people as we can.

Love at first bite... Butterscotch Cake with coffee buttercream frosting.. All my life I have been eating a white sponge with butterscotch essense and frosting usually with caramel or almond(when I started baking) or the whipped cream in bakeries, in the name of Butterscotch Cake. Thank you Cheryl Rajkumar for giving this real gift. The flavourful taste of the cake paired with this silky smooth coffee buttercream frosting is soooooo addictive.. This is officially me distancing myself from the oven until mid of next month for the next bake off task 🙊🙉🙈😂😂🥰🥰 no more going back to that kind of cake .. this is the real deal.. recipe can't be shared as this is part of an exclusive bakeoff

So Champ decided to bake a chocolate cake with me today ..if u want the cake u bake it too 😝 a simple one bowl super moist cake.. made a chocolate cream cheese frosting for it.i realised I was frosting a cake after a veryyyy long time. No turn table, no tools.out of touch.. piping nozzles were delivered in the nth minute.so managed piping and make it look a little nice.

Even when I ate a good store bought brownie one weekend with rishu, I enjoyed the purity of chocolate but not the brown...

Even when I ate a good store bought brownie one weekend with rishu, I enjoyed the purity of chocolate but not the brownie as such..It happens to us bakers..we are a weird lot.. We can actually feel the taste of a gooey fudgy brownie by just reading a recipe..and i have a lot of recipes saved on brownies which I have tried over the years.. here is my version of a gooey fudgy dark chocolate brownie (85% dark) it had to be relished with our fav salted caramel ice-cream ...and here I'm trying to cut down on cheats😂🤗🥺

Following all baker posts on Instagram daily is very tempting ...and one day you would break..especially when one of your close baker friends posts a gluten free yumm chocolate goodness bake ,the itch suddenly to go make your own is high..and no physical pain can stop the urge. The cream and the sugar and the chocolate all had to come together for making the special cake for the bday of the champ and the main reason behind the birth of Cake-A-Diction... 5-Star cake for the star of my life- An eggless chocolate and butterscotch cake filled with alternate layers of salted caramel with roasted almonds and caramel mousse with five-star chocolate chunks and topped finally with more 5star.. cake wiped clean by the baccha party 😍

Coffee-chocolate and coffee-walnut are matches made in heaven.. I just wanted to bring them together in a healthy version... Coffee Walnut cake with chunks of 70% dark chocolate in it. Made with organic whole wheat flour and cane sugar , with olive oil , this cake is a big hit amongst clients and my family too.. the best part is kids love it.. once you make up your mind to get out of the taste of zero nutrient maida, you will get used to enjoying other nutritional flour based baked goodies . .. Don't believe it? You should try our bakes then...😍

Quite a special Mother's Day today as I got to spend the day with 3 very special women in my family who are wonderful ,super moms... My mom, my Chitthi(mom's sister)and my Maami(mom's brother's wife) .. all my childhood has been spent under their love and care , and even today I hang out with them like friends.. laughing silly, shopping, eating and gossiping.. all fun.. so when they were cooking some special lunch for me today , I baked some special goodies for them... Eggless whole wheat flour double chocolate fudgy brownies with cane sugar and olive oil and 80:20 WWFlour and Maida methi buns stuffed with potato filling. Happy Mother's Day to all wonderful moms out there... 😍
