We celebrated Cinnamon Bun Day properly today 🤎

Lots of buns out of the oven and on their way to our lovely customers.

It’s a big day in Scandinavia, and we loved sharing that tradition with you here in Dubai. Thank you to everyone who ordered and celebrated with us.

Three countries, three names for the same good idea.

Sweden has Kanelbullens dag. Norway has Kanelbollens dag. Denmark has Kanelsneglens dag, the cinnamon snail.

They all land on October 4th, and we love these too much to give them just one day.

So this coming week is Cinnamon Bun Week at Bolle. Brushed with butter while they're still warm, then brought straight to your door.

The Grandma Kringle is where BOLLE began.

It was Lisa’s grandmother’s recipe, passed down after many years, and the first thing Lisa wanted to bake when we started.

There was no shop. No brand. Just a recipe she was determined to find again, and something she really wanted other people to taste.

To Lisa, it still tastes like a cosy, warm hug.

We love a good savoury bun.

Honey-glazed cheese.
Zaatar milk buns.
Parmesan, sesame & chive.

Salty, cheesy, herby, a little sweet where it should be.

Very hard to stop at one.

Our toasted hazelnut & chocolate swirls.

We roast the hazelnuts ourselves because it makes such a difference to the flavour.

They get nuttier and more fragrant, and the whole kitchen smells divine.

Then we blend them and mix in the dark chocolate.

Spread onto our dough, rolled, shaped and into the oven. Brushed while they’re still warm and delivered right away 👌

We thought it was time we said hello.

We’re Lisa and Sallar, the two behind Bolle, our Scandinavian bakery in Dubai.

We spend a lot of time thinking about dough. How it feels, how it develops, how we can make the next batch a little better. It’s something we find ourselves talking about long after the baking is done.

But the part we care about most is when you take that first bite. We hope it makes you pause for a moment. Something comforting, something worth sitting down for. Preferably with someone you love.
