Charity Begins With Me Just me, and a few friends, working together to make the world a better place. This is my platform to do so. How Does It Work? etc. How Can You Help?

About Charity Begins With Me:

My name is Stephan and I started this page because I am on a mission to make the world a better place. My Story:

I have always been involved in charity work but it was only after I was diagnosed with leukemia in 2013 that I decided to really get my hands dirty. The idea of death did not scare me, but I knew I wanted to leave behind something worth remembering before I officially kicked the bucket. Because we are not a registered NGO we do not work with money. Each month we select a big project or two and then we collect various items we can use to make a difference in the lives of those who need it the most. Previous Projects:

- Collecting baby food for a baby shelter
- Collecting dog / cat food for rescue organisations
- Baking cupcakes for old age homes
- Collecting stationery / books / toys / clothes
- Cooking meals for the homeless
- Putting together food parcels for families in need
- Massive coin collections
- Etc. Look out for updates on this Page and help us collect – get your friends involved, or just spread the word. We also often get together and are always in need of extra hands to make sandwiches, hand out goodies, etc. Because I have a full time job and I am always on the go I am very bad with taking phone calls, but feel free to SMS or WhatsApp me on 072 5933 866

Do you have any Lego pieces who lost their way?

Every week when we sort through toys we find Lego pieces at the bottom of the bags. Missing pieces. Incomplete sets. And to try and put these back together is mission impossible.

So this year we want to collect all the missing pieces / incomplete sets and put it to good use for a special fundraising project.

Can you help?

Please don't throw those incomplete sets away. Send it our way.

Drop off in Fairland, JHB or send via Pudo.

Please WhatsApp if you can help.

Very last day to drop off Christmas gift items, stationery, covered school books, and other items is 30 November 2026.

PLEASE plan accordingly!!

As much as we appreciate every single donation, December is our busiest month of the year and I will have very little availability for drop offs after the cut off date.

Only 8 weeks left!!

If you want to help, please WhatsApp.
