Scones Recipe – 25 Scones
5 cups cake flour
5 teaspoons baking powder
250 g margarine
¾ cup sugar
1½ cups amasi
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Method
Rub the margarine into the flour, add sugar and baking powder, then add the eggs, amasi and vanilla. Mix gently into a soft dough, roll out and cut your scones brush with egg wash. Bake at 180°C for about 15–20 minutes.
Don't overmix the dough—this helps keep the scones soft and fluffy.
