MOTHER'S DAY 2026! 🧁🌸💐
And that's a wrap! My kitchen looked more like a florist's window today...ranging from the Classic 7-cupcake bouquet to my signature 19-cupcake Protea & Fynbos bouquet with a couple of 12-cupcake bouquets in between, all wrapped, collected and off to surprise some special moms tomorrow!

Thank you for the support this year, I hope all the moms out there have a day filled with love, joy and appreciation, not just on Mother's Day, but every day!

CUPCAKES ON THE BEACH AT DAWN! 🧁🌻🎉

My customer, Georgie, wanted something colourful for her birthday - the "Bianca" cupcake bouquet fit the bill perfectly! This one even had a trip to the beach at sunrise (a first!), where an early morning dip was followed by cupcakes!

CUPCAKES AT THE FINISH LINE! 🏃🏻‍♀️⭐️🧁

This month's cupcake bouquet giveaway was open for nomination on my local Facebook group and the lucky nominee was Tania Batista-Hofer, nominated by Joanne Gibson. Tania, who ran both the Ultra and half marathrons this weekend, raises funds for the Warrior On Wheels Foundation to allow 'differently-abled' people experience adventure!

Together with volunteers from the Hout Bay Harriers who help 'pilot' the custom built adaptive Running Buggy, Tania and her team took part in this year's Two Oceans Marathon Half Marathon, with Wezi, a 15yr old from IY in Hout Bay. WEDDING CUPCAKES - 29.3.2026 🧁🎊🌸

Thrilled to be asked to provide 130 floral cupcakes in a mix of vanilla and chocolate sponge, for Chris & Kirsty's wedding at Tintswalo Atlantic yesterday, which, with its enviable position on the edge of the ocean at the foot of Chapman's Peak Drive, it is a venue of dreams.

My thanks to Melissa and all staff at the venue for their superb organisation of all the supplier vehicles and allowing me to drive right down to the reception with all 11 boxes! (and special mention to my son, Oliver, for helping me unpack and arrange them in the coolest room in the venue - the wine cellar!).

Thanks too, to Anna Marcelle Weddings for giving me this opportunity to contribute to the bride and groom's special day!

SEEING DOUBLE! 🌸🧁🌸🧁

Two "Ilana" design 12-cupcake bouquets to celebrate a 50th yesterday.

A little story behind this order: I met the lovely Chanette (who ordered these two bouquets for her friend) in a transit bus on my way to board a flight to Port Elizabeth last month. I was carrying a 19-cupcake bouquet bound for a 70th birthday party in St Francis Bay. We got chatting, she took my details and turned out she lived only 20mins from me in Cape Town. A couple of weeks later, I received an email with her first order. It seems I should fly more often carrying a cupcake bouquet - no sales pitch required!
