This Mother’s Day, our hearts are with every mother dog, cat and other who has had to watch her babies suffer because of human neglect, cruelty, abuse, abandonment, and irresponsible breeding.
To the unwanted litters scattered across streets, handed out for free without care for their future, and to every innocent puppy and kitten who has experienced pain instead of love — we see you.
No mother ever wants her child to suffer. No mother deserves to lose her babies to hunger, cruelty, fear, or violence.
Today, we do not only celebrate motherhood — we reflect on the responsibility we carry as humans to protect the vulnerable.
May there be more hope for the future.
More education with purpose.
More long-term solutions.
More sterilizations to prevent unwanted litters.
More funding to reach the animals in desperate need.
More compassion.
More people willing to stand up and help.
At the SPCA, we will continue fighting for those who cannot speak for themselves. We will continue educating, rescuing, sterilizing, and never giving up — because every animal deserves love, safety, and a chance at life.
Happy Mother’s Day to every caring heart.
