Merry Christmas and a very happy prosperous New Year to you all. I would like to thank you all for the support and the trust in my baking. this was my first year of home baking and it certainly has been a mental and physical challenge to get the cakes ready as promised and as seen in the pictures😁My plan for next year is to keep adding cakes to the menu to keep up the excitement and spirit of good classic home baking with top ingredients. OMG, the festive season is nearly upon us and it is time for the Weihnachtskekse. I am baking a selection of biscuits for the Advent and Christmas season in batches of 30 . The Zimtsterne are R 180, Vanillekipferl R 100, Anisplaetzchen R100, Spitzbuben R 180, Lebkuchen R 100, Spekulatius R 100, schwarz Weiss Gebaeck R 100. I also have a little red gift box as seen on the picture. Four different biscuits fit in there and the box costs including a ribbon R 100.

OMG, the festive season is nearly upon and it is time for the Weihnachtskekse. My selection of biscuits for the Advent and Christmas season are packaged in batches of 30. My oversized Zimtsterne are R180, Vanillekipferl R100, Anisplaetzchen R 100, Spitzbuben R 180, Lebkuchen R 100, Spekulatius R 100 and the Schwarz Weiss Gebaeck R 100. The cute gift box as seen below is R 100. you can choose any four styles of biscuits for your gift to a friend or family member

Hi everybody, hope you are all enjoying the feeling of spring and some warmer days. For a long time I looked at the Sachertorte wondering what type of cake it is. As seen in the picture below I managed to bake one and I must admit I am surprised how simply delicious and light it is. The apricot jam in the middle of the chocolate layers makes it moist and slightly juicy. It seriously feeds 16 people and don't forget to serve it with cream. Hi everyone, hope you are well and I wish those suffering from Covid a speedy recovery. I would love to spoil you this week with some sublime Strawberry Tartlets. The white filling is a lemon Quarksahne filling. These tartlets are super for kids and of course for any special family occasion. They come in batches of 8 and cost R 200.
If you prefer to have a large Strawberry Obst-Torte with that very special lemon Quarksahne filling plus lots of strawberries, I can bake it for you for R 300. Please let me know two days in advance if you need me to bake something for you. You can reach me on 0836446946.

Last week I didn't even get down to post any new cakes. My task for that week was to bake a moist, fluffy, decadent, rich vegan chocolate cake for a friend of mine. The result was unreal! I did bake it again and it turned out to be a double-decker rich, heavy but divine 'as chocolate cake should be' result :). In other words a Death by Chocolate Vegan Chocolate Cake. A large one as on the picture is R 500 and half a size or medium is R 250. Also new on the list is the Apfelkuchen sehr fein. It is a lovely apple cake which is good for the whole family, but also special for guests and costs R250. Bienenstich, one of my favourites is also now available. It is done with a yeast dough and is best eaten on the day. It costs R 350. Can't wait to hear from you.
I need to inform you though that in two weeks time I will only post on my page. To update the menu and other admin work it is so much easier here. Thanks again for your enthusiastic support. Lots of love Marianne🌺

Hi all! I hope you are all well and had a great week. Last week I had a reason to celebrate as it was my birthday on Saturday. To celebrate the day we had Apricot Quarksahne Torte and lots of poppies. This version is a bit different from the classic Quarksahne Torte and has a milder more pudding-like flavour. It is really unique and a bit hard to describe, but tastes amazing. The two cakes I would like to showcase this week are the Apricot Quarksahne Torte with blueberries and the Classic Quarksahne Torte with blueberries as seen in the pictures below. The prices are the same. The medium cake is R 250 and the large R 500. Then I have not mentioned the Anisplätzchen yet! One packet of 30 costs R 90. I hope you like the selection for this week and please let me know by Wednesday if you need anything by Friday. As usual, all other cakes on the menu can be ordered too. I am happy to deliver to you ❤️

OMG, I never thought that I would be able to bake Windbeutel as my mum does, but I did! I even used her favourite Blue Veilchen tea set in the pictures. They are filled with cherries and cream and are divine 😋. In English, these are roughly translated as German Cream Puffs or Profiteroles. They are virtually sugar-free and very light and fluffy. A real tea-time treat!

Another week, another Monday!
These weeks are just flying by...
For this week I decided to make a moist, nutty Carrot Cake / Möhrenkuchen.
I made a mini version that is 12 cm in diameter that costs R150 and feeds 4 people or just yourself of course!
There's also a medium-sized one that is R250 and is just not as tall as the large one. This cake can also be ordered as gluten-free.
In the second picture, you see the larger Carrot Cake which is 20 cm in diameter and costs R 500, and in the back, you also see the "Best Ever Chocolate Cake" which I seem to be baking every week now! The larger cakes are really big and rich and can feed 16 - 20 people! The chocolate cake is flourless by default, full of almonds and Belgium chocolate.
Please let me know by Wednesday what you need for the weekend and the cakes will be ready by Friday

Some of the cakes, muffins and biscuits are vegan and gluten-free. The main emphasis is on divine traditional flavors and enjoying healthy clean bakes and cookies.

Attached is the menu and price list for all my cakes.
Cakes ordered before Wednesday evening can be fetched or delivered by Friday of that week, within Cape Town.
