We need to remember this!

To me, food is an expression of love. It's LOVE when you bake cookies for someone, or make chicken soup to take to a sick friend. Everyone eats; everyone shares that moment when someone else has taken the time (and love) to make something nutritious, or yummy, or both, just for you. It makes you feel good, and it makes them feel good too.

At almost every market, someone looks at my breads and says "What's in these?" I point to the ingredient label, and then I say "And we add pinches of love, kindness, tolerance, and hope." When someone purchases one of our baked goods, I always tell them "Enjoy!" because that's the main purpose of my business. I like making money, but I LOVE knowing that my food brings someone else happiness.

So, if you have a friend who isn't feeling well, or you want to have a tea party with your grandchild, or your loved one can no longer express their love for you through cooking, or you know someone who just needs a little sweetness in their life (including YOU!) pick up one of our Loaves of Love on Thursdays and Saturdays at the Farmer's Market at Sunset Center.

Slow down a bit and savor the flavors of life.
Be kind and tolerant.
Love, and have hope.
