Autism Inclusion Starts in Real Spaces!

Crunchy Teeth is at Northpoint North Wing for 1 week!

This is not just a roadshow! It is about autistic individuals stepping into public spaces that are often overwhelming, demanding, and not built with them in mind.

Yet our interns are showing up.
They are trying.
They are defining their sense of belonging.

Today, Gracia is here to serve customers from 11am - 2.30pm. 🥰 Please come and show her your support! She just said a wonderful sentence to a customer "So thankful!" On 12 March, during a regular training session at Crunchy Teeth, one of our autistic interns experienced a major meltdown. The situation later escalated and extended beyond the premise of Crunchy Teeth, and several members of the public were affected. We are very grateful that the injuries were not serious.

Crunchy Teeth is set up by mothers with autistic children. Because of this, we understand in a very deeply personal way how overwhelming and painful moments like these can be for the autistic child, the caregiver, and the family beside them.

We understand that videos of the incident may have been recorded. With sincerity and humility, we would like to make a gentle appeal to members of the public not to share or circulate these videos. By doing so, it may cause further distress to the intern involved and his caregiver during this already difficult time.

In such delicate circumstances, we want to appeal for kindness, understanding, and space so that our intern and his family can recover in dignity. In moments like these, compassion, dignity, and understanding matter greatly.

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the hearts behind Crunchy Teeth. 🌸

What began as a dream by three determined mothers of autistic children has grown into a place of learning, courage and hope. Their love, resilience and belief in their children laid the foundation for Crunchy Teeth.

Today, we are deeply grateful to our dedicated caregivers and our amazing interns who have been standing strong with us to materialise this dream through their efforts, patience and dedication.

We also want to say a big “Thank you” to all our volunteers and customers who have supported us through these years and never stopped believing in our interns.

Every cookie made in Crunchy Teeth carries a story of strength, hopes, perseverance and belief in abilities. 💙
