As posted on sister company | This past week has completely turned all our lives upside down. I have been wanting to post but have been at a loss of words. This time last week I was finishing up my wedding cakes that were going out for the weekend. Then this virus came through with a force and stopped us all in our tracks. We are certainly in uncharted territory but we are all joined together now in this common goal to fight this virus. Now more than ever our differences are on the sidelines while we all step in to care for ourselves, our loved ones and our neighbors.

I know a lot of couples are scared, nervous and heartbroken at the thought of cancelling or postponing their weddings. But what I have been telling my couples is that everything will work itself out. This too shall pass and the time to celebrate will come again. What is important is that they remain hopeful and stay healthy and safe. And the same goes for all their guests. When it is time to celebrate again it will be Epic!

Cakes by Nicolle will be celebrating 10 years in business come May. My passion has always been baking and sharing that joy of baking so a couples special day can be as memorable as can be. I am here for you ❤️👩🏽‍🍳

During this downtime I will be busy working on some cake designs, recipe testing and making a lot of fresh fruit purees and roasted vegetables purees for my 9 month old twins. There is a lot on my “to-do” list and no better way then to check off those boxes ✔️👩🏽‍🍳

To all my wedding industry friends, all my restaurant, venues and hospitality friends...Yes this is a real hard hit for us all but we will make it and we will continue to do what we love to do. Watch out for each other, stay healthy and be safe. We shall party again! 🥳👩🏽‍🍳

Come May Cakes by Nicolle will be celebrating 10 years in business! 🥳 I have kept quiet the last few months because there is a lot of fun stuff in the works for CBN. Not only am I excited but I am so proud! The main project is a much anticipated rebranding and relaunch of CBN’s website in partnership with sister company, 👯‍♀️. Later this week a special contest will be revealed! I cannot wait to share those details because they are ohhh so sweet!!! The Mr. placed his birthday cake order last December. He knew he wanted a lemon cake with boysenberry jam from the pacific northwest. Yes, very specific request! 10 months later here we are with a barrel tier of my lemon scented cake with alternating layers of boysenberry jam from Maury Island Farms and lemon zested cream, topped with even more boysenberry jam and tasty raspberry/chocolate macarons & lemon macarons 👩🏽‍🍳 The Mrs. delivered 🎂 happy birthday my love ❤️
