I was asked to make an orange chocolate cake in honor of a client's father who passed away this year. I wanted to bring out all the delectable orangey zing without it looking too much like Halloween or be too one-note on the orange. Dignified and delicious. I made a chocolate cake with a hint of orange, filled with orange buttercream, chocolate ganache, chopped orange chocolate bar, candied orange peels and orange zest as a final zesty splash. Wow, this cake - I never would have been into these flavors, but I can't stop eating the leftover bits!

His & Hers Cake! I was tasked to create a birthday cake for a combo birthday party for a guy who likes fishing and Heineken and a woman who likes to knit and is a designer. I love the typical unicorn cakes, but I had an opportunity to try a new design this weekend and I loved it! The colors are so pretty and the watercolor effect came out absolutely amazing. The cake is a gluten free chocolate cake with fresh strawberry buttercream - yum!

"Just riding on a rainbow, I know I'm gonna be okay!" Trolls are always in high demand and I was delighted to be able to make not only a Trolls cake, but also some adorable Poppy hair cupcakes to go with it. The cake is fresh strawberry with fresh strawberry buttercream and topped with a white chocolate ganache drip. The cupcakes are buttermilk vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream.

Keeping strict time on this one. I tried several batches of making my own poured sugar gems, but they really weren't coming out to what I wanted so I ended up using cake bling in the band, I think it turned out pretty great!
