I have been going back and forth about posting about this interaction but have decided I should clarify for those that don’t know.

The attached picture is a picture of my VANILLA BEAN cake batter. I bake from scratch. For context, All of my cakes are made using my recipes and not a mix. See the little black specs in the batter? That is the vanilla BEAN.

A few days ago I had a customer pick up her cake as scheduled. She ordered a vanilla bean sheet cake with basic decorations for a birthday. She loved the cake when she picked it up. That evening I received a demand for a full refund. I was confused as it was exactly what she ordered and she was happy at pickup. I asked her what happened and why she wanted a refund. Turns out, A few of her guests had gotten together and decided that the little black specs were dirt. Yes dirt 🙄😒. WHAT?! 🤯 I explained that she was seeing the specs of vanilla because she ordered VANILLA BEAN and refused a refund. She blocked me.

So reference, if you order a VANILLA BEAN cake, you may see dark little specs while eating it! She did say the cake was delicious and she didn’t notice until her guests brought it to her attention. For real, I can’t make this stuff up. Customer service is wild 🤦🏻‍♀️

What a weekend! Thank you to everyone that stopped by my booth at the FULL PULL STOP & SHOP event! I appreciate every one of you. I loved seeing my repeat customers but loved meeting so many new ones ❤️

It was a super busy week/weekend for me with this event as well as custom orders. My inbox is full so if you have sent me messages anytime in the past 5 days, I will be responding To them soon! Thank you for your patience!
