A woodland cake for some special ladies at Village East Elementary school. For those of you who may not be crazy about fondant but like the look of it, this cake is all buttercream! Hand painted with cocoa butter and powdered food coloring. The wood texture on top os a buttercream transfer using a mold by Katy Sue Designs. The decorations are made from gumpaste.

The snow is coming down outside (a foot of snow predicted!) and so I am spending the day inside. What better time to try out a new toy I got for Christmas?! A food dehydrator! Looking forward to saving DAYS worth of time making sugar flowers! If anyone is interested in the dehydrator I am using, I put the link in the first comment.
