The bakery will be closed Friday 5/15. Apologies for any inconvenience/sadness 💔
Our little team has been working our butts 🍑 off to keep up with increased demand at farmers markets, the bakery, and with wholesale. A few of us have needed some R&R this week to stay healthy.
A couple of us will be in production tomorrow to be ready for all three farmers markets this weekend as well as the bakery reopen Saturday 5/16 from 8:30-2.
We hope to see you this weekend- we will have. Ton of stuff for you in hopes of not selling out early. Thank you for your support! 💪

Saturday 9-1 (note the new hours ☀️)

Of course, we’ll also be serving lots of yummy fresh pastries at the bakery Saturday from 8:30-2 as well.

The bakery has everything on the market menu + quiche, sandwiches and cold brew is back! (The smoothest cold brew you’ll ever have drink 🏝️)

Hi & welcome! 👋🏼

If you’re new here, I am (some) of the hands behind Small Baking Co. 🍪

Most days, you can find me in back helping with production or sending messages to farmers requesting a pick up of everything from organic hazelnuts to zucchini to edible flowers from the farmers markets. 🌸

Running a neighborhood bakery is beyond a full time job but I’ve got an amazing tiny team of bakers and farmers market crew to help.

Here, we’re passionate about supporting our fellow farmers and makers through highlighting their products in our pastries. 🌰

When I’m not at work (and not at a farmers market), I’m with my family adventuring, often out at the coast. 🌊 My 6-year-old and I recently got in to rock hunting 🪨

On socials, we post our weekend farmers market menu every Friday. During the week expect, behind-the-scenes bakery happenings, community event reposts & random delightful things in our stories 🌱

What we're excited to shop for at the farmers markets:
asparagus: we'll be putting it in our quiche and maybe even on top of our ricotta focaccia
rhubarb: at the bakery we make a simple refrigerator jam with an approximate ratio of 1:2 sugar to rhubarb and a little splash of lemon juice. And, next weekend we'll bring our rhubarb anise upside down cake to markets.

Next weekend is the official start to the spring season at OCFM with new hours 9am-1pm and our beloved King market in NE Portland opens for the seasons next Sunday.

We’re so excited to join our vendor friends at the spring this weekend in NW Portland.

We’re bringing some of our favorite spring desserts 🌸and you can find us in the same spot we were in for the winter bazaar ♥️

Items marked * will only be available at the bazaar. We’ll post our farmers market menu tomorrow afternoon.

We can’t wait to see you at the bazaar, at PSU Saturday , Saturday or our Oregon City bakery (Th-Sat)!

I’ll be working the bazaar Saturday and Lindsay is making a comeback on Sunday!

Our PSU and OC booth will have new faces there so please give Cynthia and Jacob a warm welcome to the markets 🤗

Hi friends and family,

I hope you've been able to enjoy this crazy warm weather. 🐝

My kiddo was off today so we spent most of the day running errands. First stop- Coffee Rush for bagels and drinks, then a cookie delivery to Arch Bridge, then the bank to turn in our respective bag of coins and a work deposit. Finally to fill up the Subaru/mom mobile/delivery car with gas (yikes 💸)

Then we biked/sprinted around the neighborhood and picked up trash.

It was a great day and tomorrow I'm heading in to the bakery early to do the morning bake. 🌞 🍪

I'm curious what you/parents do/did when your kid has a day off and if you've explored any fun new family spaces recently- I'd love to hear from you!

Hugs to all that preordered for Easter pick up! 🤗 (Pick ups scheduled for tomorrow at the bakery and at the farmers markets)

Ordering is now closed but you can still come by , PSU market or the bakery to pick out some treats for Easter. 🐣

Stock updates:
We are nearly sold out of decorated bunny cookies (a handful are left at the bakery for sale tomorrow 8:30-2) 🐇

We are sold out of whole carrot cakes but we will have limited amounts of slices at the markets and bakery.

Limited strawberry rolls everywhere as well.

Plenty of our regular menu items will be available to make a sweet Easter treat box- cookies, scones, focaccia, etc. 🍪

I’m training our new farmers market rep at OCFM tomorrow so I’m looking forward to seeing you all there in the sunshine! ☀️

We have a few special items available for Easter. Preorders will close at 9am Friday morning. Order from our Easter Menu as well as anything from our Daily Menu. Choose pick up Saturday from the bakery, Oregon City farmers market, or the PSU farmers market

Housekeeping updates:
I mentioned last week that we can no longer afford to use Square's new pricing for our email updates so we will be switching to a different email provider in 24 days, when our free trial runs out!
