Real strawberry cookies with marshmallow, ginger crème sandwich l, onyx coca crinkles, cowboy cookies!
This cookie was inspired by my late Grampa Ralph. He always loved oatmeal cream pies, and when he lived with us, we bought a box every week. I started making this gingerbread cookie a long time ago. I have also perfected the recipe. My gingerbread cookies are soft and delicious. I’ve been told that they are the best gingerbread cookies many people have ever had. These will be available at Nashville Flea Market tomorrow and Sunday! Come get one!
1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Whisk and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until the yeast is activated and the mixture becomes frothy. 2. Add the remaining sugar, melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until well combined. 3. Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time, mixing until the dough comes together and is no longer sticky. 4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. 5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until it has doubled in size. 6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). 7. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a 16x24 inch rectangle. 8. Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough. 9. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the butter. 10. Roll up the dough tightly, starting from the long side, and pinch the seam to seal it. 11. Cut the rolled dough into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. 12. Cover the dish with a clean kitchen towel and let the rolls rise for 30-45 minutes until they have doubled in size. 13. Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes until they are golden brown. 14. While the rolls are baking, prepare the frosting by beating together the butter, powdered sugar, cream cheese, vanilla extract, and salt until it is smooth and creamy. 15. Once the rolls are done baking, let them cool for 5-10 minutes before spreading the frosting over them. #cinnamonrolls
