My good friend, Tod is a wedding DJ AND is a pilot with his own plane. He & about 20 other pilots have been doing emergency supply deliveries all weekend! I’m taking a load of supplies up to his airstrip tomorrow!

If anyone would like to contribute, you can venmo me…. Last 4 = 4911

Just made a whole heap of caramel & thought I’d remind yall of the recipe!

Enjoy!

1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 teaspoon sea salt (adjust to taste)
1/2-1 tsp high quality vanilla (optional)
Instructions:

Start by heating the granulated sugar in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally with a wooden spoon until the sugar melts and turns amber in color.
Carefully add the heavy cream to the caramelized sugar while stirring constantly. The mixture will bubble up, so be cautious.
Once the cream is fully incorporated, add the unsalted butter and continue stirring until it melts and the mixture becomes smooth and glossy.
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the sea salt & vanilla. Adjust the amounts to your taste preference.
Let the caramel cool down before transferring it to a glass jar or airtight container.
You can use the salted butter caramel as a topping for ice cream, drizzle it over desserts, or use it as a dip for fruits.
Enjoy your homemade salted butter caramel!

Just throwing this out there --- I had a whole bunch of interest in my European flour bread loafs on my personal page and many people interested in trying it! I am a certified cottage baker with a license to bake at home, so if there is anyone local interested, I'm making take & bake dough balls, appx 1 1/2 pound dough, which is enough to bake your own sandwich loaf OR crusty loaf OR sweet rolls!
They are $12 each! Also, I will throw in some homemade Italian garlic seasoned butter! This week only!
