It's been a while and I've left this page and my website still open. www.cakeninjaxtreme.com
This years's Cake International is running from the 1st - 3rd November and it's the 30th year celebration. I've decided not to enter the competition. My health hasn't been too great, in decline and has taken precedence. Also, last year's judging anomilies has left me a bit jaded. I will be going for just one day, with my wonderful friend Sara.
It will be nice to see what others will be entering as I did on my first ever trip there.

Cake Fiesta Manilla is currently running in the Philippines. This is a cake entry for their competition. It's, quite frankly, the best cake I've ever seen.... 😲⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It was a weird and wonderful time at Cake International this year.
With my health in decline, my amazing friend Sara Rice, took absolute care of me and made sure I didn't push myself too much (although I did). Thank you Sara, it was a fun time as always. Sara also received a bronze award for her Christmas house scene. (pictures included).
I've put up a lot of pictures that were some of my favourite cake entries and exhibition pieces. There was a full-size Ozzy Osbourne, King Charles III and many more....
It wasn't the perfect weekend of course. The disability parking was 10 show halls away. Last year, it was outside the venue. Not every disability is in a wheelchair... and it just happened to be right next to mobility scooter hire...hmmmm.....

Then there was the erroneous judging. It was across the board, in all categories. So many awards should have been switched, upgraded and even down-graded. There was even nepotism in one of the entries that got gold....
..and with all that, I'll still enter next year... because I'm insane and I've got the perfect friend to go with every year. Thanks again Sara, wouldn't be the same without you.

Well... for those interested, here's a Gold from the horror section....Also check out the awards between the two painted cakes. I certainly would have given the higher award to the 'forest creation'.... I'll post more of an overview later today 😎👍

Well... I'm at Cake International and my entry is this.... Chamberlain the Skesis from the Dark Crystal. Just got the result....and I got....Bronze...hmmmm🤔
Looking around the exhibition and other entries, there seems to be a lot of discrepancies this year, across the board and all categories.... I guess to get Gold, I'm going to have to sit on the corner of the table myself with blood coming out of my eyes.... ah well...🤷
Anyway...here's pics from when I completed it and when it got the 'award'.... enjoy 😉

So here's my big announcement. I have formerly closed Cake-Ninja Xtreme as a business due to health issues. I have wrote everything in my (possibly?) last blog which you can read here

I would like to share with you my last ever cake that I made for the wedding of Darryl and Julia Kidney.... and here's Julia giving the cake a double thumbs up. I took the cake all the way from Chesterfield to South Shields. It held together pretty well I must say.
I do hope you all like it. I'd like to dedicate all my cake creations to my wife Sylvia who always made sure my cakes got to where they were meant to be.... I am now officially retired. It's been a hell of run. Thank you to all my clients who made this possible. It's been amazing. All the best to you all.... and I'll keep you updated on how the competition goes in November at Cake International. 😎👍

Yesterday, I had the privilege of being able to provide the wedding cake for Sam and Katie Nobbs.
This was a pleasure to make as it involved a reverse cake reveal of a Marvel's Avengers theme.
In my youth, I collected Marvel comics and so this was one of the best themes that I could have put my craft to.
Thank you so much to Sam and Katie for allowing me to make the cake for your special day.

Yesterday, I had the honour of providing the wedding cake for Heather and Jonathan. A gothic themed 'Till Death Do Us Part' cake to go with the wonderful wedding theme. One of my favourite, personal designs. Heather was overwhelmed and I was truly appreciative of the reaction. (video of reaction coming soon)
