Base layer - vanilla sponge, strawberry jam , fresh cream and chopped strawberries marinated in lemon and sugar

Middle layer - lemon sponge , lemon curd , fresh cream and strawberry slices

Top layer ~ vanilla sponge , fresh cream decorated with fresh fruits 🍓🍋🥝

We all know I’m a cookie girl but I know how to make a pretty good cake.

My issue with cake is I can make them taste great but I just can’t deal with the fuss of decorating. I just don’t have the patience or attention span 😂However, I was given the assignment to bake a cake for somebody’s birthday and I have to say I don’t think this came out too bad …

2 x 7” Vanilla sponges sandwiched together with fresh cream , raspberry jam and fresh strawberries topped with fresh cream, fresh fruits and a raspberry and lemon drizzle.
