Currant & Crumb began with a simple craving and a love for food that feels like home. Janel, a first-generation American raised in New York, grew up surrounded by diverse cuisines. After moving to Arkansas, she missed Trinidad-style currant rolls a
nd began making them herself. Along the way, her friend Lydia joined the journey, bringing a creative eye, an artistic touch, and a growing passion for Caribbean Iture and cuisine. Together, they tested, refined, and shaped each recipe with care. From there, they expanded into Jamaican-style hard-dough bread and fruit tarts, which are enjoyed in wide varieties across the Caribbean.
