We ordered up some stone-ground yellow cornmeal grits from New Mission Milling for the exact purpose of shrimp and grits, one of our favorites.
Now, if we want AUTHENTIC New Orleans-style shrimp and grits, we will always head over to visit our friends at TwoGuys Brewing. Totally delicious, totally authentic, a must have when they offer it.
But we also love to make our own koo-koo third coast version too, with lots of Crisp Country Acres green onions, some tomatoes from Heidi's Farmstand and Bakery, a dash of BLAST from BLiS and lots of Country Dairy, Inc cheddar stirred into those fabulous grits.
We've got everything but the shrimps.
