Menue for August 19th, my last Market Day
Dear customers and friends,
Four years ago I was fortunate enough to start one of my hardest, but also one of my most rewarding adventures in my live, when I decided to open āUllaās European Delightsā at the Williamsburg Farmers Market. You, my wonderful customers, found your way from Toano Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, Newport News and Virginia Beach, as well as from DC, Maryland and North Carolina, and I canāt thank you enough for all your love and great support ! I am so familiar with your faces and I look so forward each Saturday to seeing you, I canāt imagine yet that this would change soon.
From the very beginning my family always was with me and supported me emotionally, as well as with their labor. Most importantly and certainly always on my side (except he had better things to do like playing some golf tournaments, lol) my dear husband Curtis, who you got to know as my āmoney-manā. Our daughter Antonia, whoās a great baker already since her teenage years, also shared her ideas regularly with me via facetime, as well as she was with me at my very first and some more market days in Williamsburg, as well as now on my last market days in beautiful Yorktown!
From the very beginning, you have made us feel welcome and, through your continuous support for my business, you inspired and determined me to try harder and give my very best through all the yummy and elegant cakes, which I learned from my mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. Very often you have given me the chance to be part of your familiesā celebrations, business events and many other happy events. I have always found pride and satisfaction in the quality of my products and tried my very best to never disappoint your expectations and, from the amazing feedback we received from all of you over the years, we know we have met your expectations.
With Dianaās European Delights I have found another very passionate and very talented baker, who is so ready to take over and who will be continuing this sweet work and becoming part of this wonderful Yorktown Market Days community. We are very sure that youāll love her cakes as much as we do (and btw her Beesting Cake āBienenstichā is much better than mine! Who knows what else, lol)
And here is now my menu for my last market :
Traditional German Gingerbread Hearts ! Go get these beautiful and authentic Gingerbread Hearts for your Bavarian Party ! Authentic Bavarian Pretzels with salt or with cheese. With warmest regards and deepest gratitude,
