This is my hubby’s favorite sourdough bread and I always forget to bake us some so I placed an order with myself so I wouldn’t forget 😂

I want to be brave for a moment and share some things with all of you. 1) Gratitude is something I have to practice regularly. 2) Self doubt creeps in more than I care to deal with. 3) I work REALLY hard at what I do because I want to provide the BEST. 4) I’m finally understanding that it okay to ebb and flow in my desire to keep going. Nothing is linear.

Reading back through these comments reminded me of my why and frankly, it never gets old being reminded that I get to feed people with GOOD sourdough products that I work my butt off to make!

Our Geology Trip Bake Sale is officially live! Unfortunately, the Geological Society of Nevada has stopped accepting grant applications for the year, so we’re downsizing our plans and raising funds on our own.

We will be traveling to the Aurora Volcanic Crater to learn about the incredible geological processes that formed the crater, and then to the Aldrich Hill Formation to search for plant fossils. We are so blessed to live in such a geologically rich state and to be able to study these things in such depth!

👋 Hi! I’m not taking orders this week; I’ll be restocking supplies and catching up on clerical work.

Next week we’re doing a bake sale. I have a binder of preprinted labels to work through, and I’ll be bringing back some fan favorites. Everything will be $13.

Why a bake sale? We’re fundraising for a geology trip. We homeschool, and the Geological Society of Nevada offers grants to public schools and homeschool families for geology-based field trips. Because we’re studying geology now, we’re applying for a grant — and application acceptance increases when families show supplemental fundraising. Please consider supporting our sale!

Kylee and I want to honor all of the incredible educators that dedicate so much of their lives to bringing up children in the best way they can! One MAJOR thing that really helps keep my drive and my skills intact while running a microbakery is REST. Rest is such an undervalued asset to any business/job. Burnout is very real and if you don’t find true rest, even if you only get a couple of days off a week, you’ll run yourself ragged!

I’m doing exactly that this week. We start spring extracurriculars this week and I thought it was the perfect time to transition into our new schedule and my new menu by taking a much needed break. My favorite part of running my own business is that I get to fine tune it to work for me and my family and that allows me to do my best for everyone else!
