Despite being at events back to back the last three days, as I said before, our farmers work is never done. We are out planning, weeding watering, preparing for tomorrow morning’s harvest.

We are incredibly honored and humbled to be featured in the local paper’s highlighting our journey as an Indigenous woman and Black-owned farm and food cottage! 🌾✨

Growing fresh, organic food and scratch-baking for our community is our heart’s work, and navigating the path of growth takes a village. We want to extend our sincere gratitude to the local leaders, agricultural specialists, and compliance teams who have provided guidance, support, and oversight along the way:
• Our Community & Agricultural Partners: Thank you to Kristina Alexander (Salem County CADB Program Administrator), Alexandra Guadalupe (Soil Conservationist, Woodstown Field Office, New Jersey NRCS) and her team dedicated team at the Salem County Department of Agriculture, and Tom Hollinger and the Woodstown Festival Committee for championing local, sustainable agriculture.
• Our Township & Compliance Leaders: Thank you to Neil Shepherd and the Mannington Township Zoning Board for backing our application and standing behind New Jersey's vision for vibrant, small-scale farming.
• Our Public Health & Environmental Partners: We appreciate the diligent standards and regulatory guidance from Damaris Monte (Cumberland County Department of Public Health), Tabitha Dilks (Salem County Department of Health), and Shannon Gandy (Salem County NJDOH) to ensure our cottage food operation meets the highest benchmarks for our community.
Thank you to the wonderful team South Jersey Preservation, Allysa Nicolita Melendez, Jennifer Maciejewski Kugler, Katie Ommanney, Daphne Madera and Jose Quann from NJ WIC, Manjuela and her team Salem Gateway WIC, and the team Jersey Fresh
We are proud to operate in a region that honors agricultural traditions and stands behind the growth of diverse, independent farmers. Thank you all for standing with us, celebrating our heritage, and keeping local food thriving! Stop by the roadside stand and see what’s fresh this week! 🍓

A’HO family

Wow, South Jersey and beyond! We are officially sold out of our scratch-made strawberry shortcakes for the day.
Our hearts are completely full. A massive, beautiful thank you to our hosts, the Lenni-Lenape tribe family, for having us and welcoming us as vendors at the Annual Strawberry Moon Pow Wow. It has been an absolute honor to share this weekend with you all, and we wish everyone a safe journey and pleasant travels home.
Thank you for supporting our farm and food cottage—we appreciate every single one of you! ✨

Yesterday we had an amazing strawberry drink, from the from Passamaquoddy Tribe in Maine, served to us at the Nanticoke Lenni- Lenape pow-wow at the Cumberland County Fairgrounds, served by the
Native Roots Farm Foundation

Absolutely delicious!!🤤 🙌🙌🌻🍓🎀❤️
There are actually two federally recognized Tribal Nations in Maine that start with the letter P:
The Penobscot Nation (based at Indian Island near Old Town, Maine)
Maine Indian Tribal-State Commission
The Passamaquoddy Tribe (which has two distinct reservation communities in Washington County: Sipayik at Pleasant Point and Motahkokmikuk at Indian Township)
Abbe Museum
Along with the Maliseet and Mi'kmaq Nations, they collectively form the Wabanaki Confederacy ("People of the Dawnland").
