FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
📣Woodstock, Alabama to Celebrate 30th Anniversary with 9th Annual Woodstock Music Festival at Holiday Raceway on May 16 Starring Montgomery Gentry Featuring Eddie Montgomery📣
Woodstock, AL - On behalf of Mayor Jeff Dodson and the Woodstock Town Council, we are thrilled to announce the artists for the 9th Woodstock Music Festival!
The Town of Woodstock is rolling out the red carpet for music fans and community members alike as we celebrate our 30th anniversary alongside the nation’s 250th birthday. There’s no better way to mark these milestones than with the 9th Annual Woodstock Music Festival on Saturday, May 16th at Holiday Raceway, a celebration of music, community growth, and hometown pride.
Festival gates open at 3:00 PM, with live performances beginning at 4:00 PM. Admission is $20 per vehicle, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Vendors and HOLIDAY RACEWAY Concessions will be on site to serve you, and the event is family-friendly. (No coolers or pets please.)
Kicking off the festival is Jesse Crowe and the Unrest, bringing a fresh and edgy take to what could be quantified as Roots Rock, but pulls inspiration from Rock, Folk, Americana, Funk, and many other styles. The message behind the music is that of the sound. And we think you’ll love it!
Returning by popular demand, Marieo “Multi” Parrish and the Standout Band bring their signature versatility and soulful sound back to the Woodstock stage. A performer since age 8, Parrish is known for his talents as a singer, saxophonist, and songwriter, earning him the nickname “Multi.” After signing with Day 6 Entertainment Group, his debut single “Tupelo Honey” gained regional attention, and its award-winning music video helped establish him as a rising star on the Gulf Coast.
Rising country star Travis Denning, a native of Warner Robins, Georgia, has amassed more than 850 million streams worldwide. He first broke through with his Gold-certified Top 40 hit “David Ashley Parker From Powder Springs”, followed by his Platinum No. 1 single “After A Few.” His debut album “Roads That Go Nowhere” (2024) debuted in Spotify’s Top 10 across all genres, and his songwriting credits include hits for several of country music’s biggest stars. Denning will take the stage to open for the headliner.
Closing out the night, country music fans will enjoy a once in a lifetime headline performance by Montgomery Gentry featuring Eddie Montgomery, delivering his signature mix of Southern rock and country hits.
Montgomery recently unleashed a 25th anniversary edition of “Hillbilly Shoes,” a signature country-rocker originally released as Montgomery Gentry’s first single and the opening track of the duo’s debut album Tattoos & Scars.
The song comes as part of a promise Montgomery and his partner Troy Gentry once made to each other – if one of them ever passed away, the other would carry on the Montgomery Gentry legacy.
Following the loss of Troy Gentry in 2017, Montgomery continues the legacy with heartfelt performances:
“I’m keepin’ it going, I’m keepin’ my promise,” said Eddie Montgomery. “A day don’t go by I don’t talk about him. A day don’t go by I don’t miss him.”
This year’s festival promises to be a special celebration—not just of incredible music, but of Woodstock’s 30th anniversary, the USA’s 250th, and the beautiful and giving spirit of the local community.
Let’s Rock!
